There isn't a solid reason.

It wouldn't affect premades that much, no one queues for current EX trials in DF so that wouldn't be affected and you gain little benefit over an 8 man premade besides slightly less competition on mounts, but lootmaster groups exist anyway.

It's probably just "to be safe" incase there was some reason they can't think of or some current instance becomes soloable due to an exploit they missed, and they see no reason to change it.

The JP playerbase is well known to still use the DF for Ex trials quite regularly, and what the home market does seldom goes unnoticed by the devs.

Thats because they do it completly different. They use the PF for practice and the DF for farming, so rumors say. You can't compare that to NA or EU where literally no one ever ques up for Ex Primals except for maybe new players who don't know better.

Well I was more highlighting that if one base (JP) still uses one method more than another base (NA/EU), the devs won't be quick to change it that's all. Doesn't really matter for what reason they do it, it's still an active avenue to content for them, so to say "no one queues" that particular way isn't exactly correct that's all.

The dev's wouldn't change it one way or the other because they just change it on the following expansion. I just pointed out that there is a huge difference between JP and the rest.
