Any reason why current content can't be undersized?

Well I was more highlighting that if one base (JP) still uses one method more than another base (NA/EU), the devs won't be quick to change it that's all. Doesn't really matter for what reason they do it, it's still an active avenue to content for them, so to say "no one queues" that particular way isn't exactly correct that's all.

The dev's wouldn't change it one way or the other because they just change it on the following expansion. I just pointed out that there is a huge difference between JP and the rest.

Thanks everyone for your input. It seems like some of the strongest reasons people have posted here are :

- to keep the content active and push people who would otherwise undersize the content to join PF/DF (I feel like this is the main reason)

- not to confuse players into thinking the content can easily be undersized. Given SE’s track record in trying to guide players this seems pretty plausible

Farm Susano EX with I lvl 400 gear and get doggos real easy.

Thats why they dont allow undersize in current tier. Towards the later end of xpacs, the earlier content would become a joke and speed farmed. That cuts down on peoples time spent playing and shortens the overall games lifespan.
