Since you are removing belts in 6.0 could you please remove the unique modifier from all rings? You did it for rings lvl 70 and below. So please consider doing it for all rings.

Just do savage.
There are also scenarios where the best healer rings are an upgraded crafted 520 and the Savage 530 ring, becuase the Tome 520/530 are garbage.
Given that they did this for 70 and below rings but not 80 it seems they clearly want it this way. My guess is the current state of affairs encourages more people to dip their toes into savage content by doing the first floor of the current tier for the ring and potentially getting a taste for it and doing more, especially once the weekly lockout is removed and they start adding echo.
I wouldn't be surprised if the proto Ultima ring hurt late expansion activity in Alexander and they definitely prefer to have a state of affairs where people are encouraged to give different content a try. Yoshi was pretty adamant about not doing a proto-ultima equivalent in SB and this looks to be the same for ShB.
They've had got activity data and player feedback from both HW and SB to decide which works better and it's likely theyve gone with the latter model.

PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE do this. I've been begging for this for months. We have 2 ring slots, why are rings unique in the first place!

Proto Ultima was a standalone Fanfest exclusive fight and they had to find a place to put it in the game, so it definitely wasn't standard compared to Yojimbo (the other Fanfest exclusive). The Proto jewelry it offered was cool since a few had better stats than either tome or savage. But it was also like almost 6 months into Alexander Creator Savage so giving the option wasn't gear-inflation but it also meant two pieces of end-game gear per-week, and they probably wanted to roll that to one.Given that they did this for 70 and below rings but not 80 it seems they clearly want it this way. Best-in-slot should always be reserved for savage gear (relics are an exception since it's always late in the expac). So I agree they always done this on-purpose going back to First Coil in ARR.

They aren't gonna do that til 6.0 drops. For now, it's by design that "unique" rings can't be doubled. They only lift that for convenience sake for outdated gear from previous expansions.

Definitely support removing the Unique on tome rings. Bugs the heck out of me not having that nice round ilevel number. Plus it would keep folks in alliance raid content for at least another week to get that additional coin to upgrade.

Perhaps I should have stated that I want them to do this in 6.0. Not now. Sorry for the confusion. ><
Sorry. Don't care about savage or best in slot. I just want to be able to fully outfit my jobs in full upgraded tome gear cause that's the content I find fun. Weather I need fully upgraded tome gear or not.
why is the removing of belts a reason for changes concerning rings?
