Thread: 5.0 Rings

You're basically asking the raiding playerbase to have to consider not just 2, but 3 rings now when planning what to upgrade for their job(s). Based on the job, it would go like:

"The left ring has Skill Speed but the right ring has Crit, but the Savage ring has even more Skill speed but I might get get it this week. maybe I get the tome right ring and upgrade it to max and pray that the Savage ring drops...oh wait I completely forgot about crafted rings....fml"

Yeah this seems like a bigger headache than having 2 perfectly matching tome rings.

Raiding isn't the end all be all to the game tho.

Just because you don't need something doesn't mean you can't want something. Relic is perfect example of this.

my point was to weigh the pros and cons of the original question and think how it would affect people unlike yourself, who don't care about a 10 iLvl difference or tome gear in general.

this game needs more gear options not less. it would also give us reason to do more content.

EX primals hasn't been the same since Garuda/Titan/Ifrit EX dropped alternate max iLv accessories. that was better for the game.

but does it really? each job has 2-3 main sub stats to drive their role, i would think any more gear options would just start cluttering everyone's inventory and make certain pieces outdated at a faster rate then they currently are.

If they don't care about tome gear then how would having 2 tome rings in the game affect them?

Well this shows how much you know about raiding. A lot of best in slot gear for raiding is tome gear. So yea raiders do care about tome gear.
