    Ancient Magics Quake, Flood, Tornado, Burst

    So BLM has Freeze and Flare, hopefully they will get Burst in 5.0, but what about WHM and their Ancient Magic spells Tornado/Flood/Quake? Can we finally get these for WHM considering every other mob uses them? Flood could be a targeted AoE spell, basically Fire II for WHM. It's less MP and less damage than Holy and doesn't stun, but it can be cast from a distance. Tornado could be an oGCD ground damage (puts a twister on the ground) and basically be a Shadowflare for WHM (but cannot be used with Asylum). Quake could be a level 80 version upgrade of Holy. Similar to how Ruin gets turned into Broil for SCH, Holy can get an animation change to Quake at 80. More damage but it keeps the stun effect.

    Holy is such a gorgeous spell. I would really hate to lose it even if they replaced it with something better. Much like Stone 3. I'm all for new DPS skills tho.

    I think they need to add some more DPS options for healers, but I'm against making them overly complex. The complexity of healers should come from actually healing, not from being turned into a DPS that heals.

    But yeah, casting Stone 24/7 with the off Aero could use a bit of an improvement, and I think these elemental-themer magicks are a straightforward way to do it. Although I would also second not losing out on Holy. However, Quake could make for a nest oGCD DPS spell for WHM. Sort of like AST star, but no healing power. Could be a skill that you set, then it had to be charged by casting Stone on a target inside the Quake zone. Once the Quake absorbs a certain amount of earth-aspected aether from the continued Stone casts, it causes an earthquake for burst damage.

    How about...

    Tornado, upgrades from Aero III.
    AoE damage + DoT, and bestows 'Float' on party members in range.

    Plus Quake, deals AoE damage, plus restores HP to any party members with Float.

    I like the ideas, but Quake restoring HP with float, makes no sense. Plus i don't know if they will give Whm another heal and DPS ability combined.

    Tornado from Aero 3 makes prefect sense., higher damage and DOT, or longer Dot.

    Since Fluid Aura is obsolete in higher content, we could use a replacement, maybe Flood could be AoE around caster that increases damage taken by 2% for 10 seconds, on a 90 sec timer.

    Stone 4 could turn into Quake with Any lilies on the bar. With more lilies, it increases the potency.

    Meh that just makes Tornado literally Aero 6.

    Aero-> Aero III
    Aero II (AoE) -> Aero IV (AoE)

    If Aero III gets upgraded to Tornado, it's functionally just Aero V, and if Aero IV gets upgraded to Tornado, it's functionally just Aero VI, but perhaps they will change it to those naming conventions (Tornado for ST, Tornado II for AoE) because the suffixes in Japanese are getting obnoxious and they will run out (In Japanese, spells aren't ranked with I, II, III, and IV, but have suffixes like Fire, Fira, Firaga, Firaja, Firaza--enemies keep this convention, but not players). So perhaps just like Ruin became Broil, Aero III will become Tornado and Aero IV will become Tornado II, sort of a "reset" button on the naming convention? Meanwhile BLM will get Thunder III->Burst and Thunder IV->Burst II, and WHM will get Quake for Stone V (Stone IV already looks like a quake spell tbh).

    As for Float, I'd rather see it come as an AoE spell for healer cross-role that boost movement speed (with the bonus of lifting you a few inches off the ground like in the Deltascape fight).

    I've posited about Tornado being a WHM spell that interacts with Aero(s).

    Basically, it being a CD skill requiring a Lily that essentially does X damage to the target and nearby enemies plus Y damage for each of your Aero spells on the target, consuming them in the process (Possibly "Borrowing" BLM's Thundercloud mechanic dealing damage equal to the full duration of the Aero DoTs)

    Giving it a Deathflare style feel to it.

    Quake and Flood... I haven't really thought about. To be honest, I don't think WHM should get Flood, at least not yet, as they kind of need more Water aspected spells first to make it justified. Fluid Aura being their only water skill at the moment...

    Especially since we might get a future job that has more emphasis on water spells if they continue to make WHM Wind+Stone Mage.

    I like the above suggestions. The only thing I'd change would be that maybe Tornado/Cyclone could proc from e.g. critical damage by Aero III, maybe from a new Aero Mastery trait, and temporarily switch out Aero III (to avoid button bloat, and make it easy to use) when that happens so we could use it; and (Flash) Flood could give the 'dropsy' status effect on the enemies. (Flash) Flood would probably need to either be a big water droplet version of Stone III with splash damage, or a ground aoe geysir maybe...? Nocturnia's suggestion for Quake is perfect I think.

    Holy could maybe proc into Luminescence* (from FFXII), or Evanescence** after Thin Air for a finisher, and maybe Concurrences from FFXII could become a thing? Lilies could be included in some form, e.g consume 2-3 lilies for Evanescence, otherwise Luminescence?

    *I'd suggest White Out as well, but that looks too much like Holy, I think

    Not sure about cross-role, but Float as a WHM flavoured peloton sounds kind of neat actually.
