
I just imagined the visuals and spectical of all this and I'm in. Honestly one of the main reasons I like mch is because of the heated actions visuals.There's also the possibility of having new turrets that are, in of themselves, CD's. Similar to SMN with Demi-Bahamut. For example, get a flying missile launcher turret thing that fires off a bunch of salvos of missiles then falls to pieces. Or like a Gatling turret that "Spins up" firing progressively faster until it peaks out and destroys itself. Could be a way to bridge the 30s gap after an Overdrive for example.
Good visuals would definitely bring me back to MCH. But it'd take a lot of replacement to undo the eyesore of the heated actions.
...Gameplay improvements would surpass any of that, though. There's just very little "MCH-like" about MCH at the moment, save perhaps its initially esoteric rotation, which is stained with QoL and functional issues. Sadly, I can't feel the visual flair much, especially of a theme that wants for so much more, if there's little control or planning behind it. Here's hoping we can get more to give wonderfully effective (polished, not merely "streamlined") gameplay with wonderfully effective (not gaudy) visuals.

I would also like animations that made sense. things like Heated Slug Shot are cool, but they do not make sense (bullets appear in the air? why?)
It would be cooler missiles like the other guy said. incorporating allag tech would be cool as well... I already imagine using gadget/turret like ADS xD

A free company mate of mine suggested that wildfire be changed to a dot that gradually increases in potency each tick and then deals aoe burst damage. With a name like wildfire it makes sense and the description of it being a slow burning pitch ,why not have it gradual pick up?
I can agree that the animations for the heated actions may not make the most sense but the base actions are just so boring IMO that any animation is a good animation.
Also I want a heated spead shot. It's boring to use and underwhelming visually and damage wise. I know that turret is there to help us out but a buff to it via a heated actions would be great.

To me, MCH right now feels more like a Gunner than a Machinist. Remember in the live letters and interviews leading up to HW, they made it seem like MCH would have all these turrets and attachments, but in the end we got 2 turrets and 1 attachment (which was always on). I'd like to see less emphasis of the gun outside of your main combo, Richochet/Gauss round and more emphasis on grenades, bombs, tasers, etc.
It would be super cool if MCH got a new resource 80+ called Synthesis Gauge. Maybe in the MCH quests, there is an effort to reverse-engineer some of Omega's technology and in doing so, MCH with enough stored aether, passively gained from attacking, they can generate weapons in thin air. Maybe a big ass Drill that pummels through the enemy, and even a giant circular chainsaw that they spin around with, dealing AoE damage around them. They could even make those attacks combo into eachother, like Red Mage's melee combo, and have it end with a finisher (Air Anchor?).
I mean if SMN can attune themselves to Bahamut's aether and call down Ahk Morns and Demi-Bahamut...then as a MCH I want to be able to summon "Peripheral Synthesis" and have floating mechanical weapons and drills/saws/fists to attack my enemy. Hell, they could make the Level 80 capstone skill have MCH press a button on a device and a "King" turret comes up behind them and fires an Omega-style Delta Attack.

Was thinking earlier when I was shooting some dudes...
What if Spread Shot was removed/replaced.
But then we had like 2 different "Barrels" to swap between (Without the butt looking attachment that the current Gauss Barrel skill comes with >.>)
One would function like our normal gun. But the other would turn the Split/Slug/Clean Shots into AoE versions. With appropriate potencies for both normal and Heated versions.
As for what the barrels could be, with animations in mind... I don't know exactly. Is an implied underslung grenade launcher too wild given the models of guns?

Combine the effects of wildfire and overheat. Make overheat +45% damage instead of +20%, and make wildfire an ability that triggers overheat in one shot. This way we can keep the full damage bonus even if we switch targets or use AoE abilities, and it would make it less frustrating when bosses go invulnerable halfway through our burst window, because more of the damage will be frontloaded.
Flamethrower can then become a normal AoE ability that isn't obligatorily used to overheat. Or perhaps it could be buffed and only usable during overheat, as a proper ultimate AoE. It would be nice if its damage output was as impressive as its visuals.
Remove gauss barrel. It looks stupid, and ruins the aesthetic of almost every gun in the game. You wouldn't even have to adjust our potencies, just move the 5% damage boost onto hot shot.
Change our bishop turret to work like the rook, but with an AoE centered on the target. It's a pain in the ass having to adjust the positioning of the bishop during trash pulls.
Make overload deactivate the turret instead of removing it, and have it automatically reactivate after 30 seconds have passed.
And finally, improve our overall damage by 1-2%. Our personal dps should be enough to make up for the much greater party utility that Bard has, and I don't think that's the case currently.

Remake MCH to Sky Pirate and we’re good.
