    Constant Error 90002

I've been getting constant 90002 errors since yesterday. Whether it be from simply trying to teleport to another area or in an instance/dungeon. I've tried resetting my router multiple times and the problem still persists. My internet seems perfectly intact so I have no idea what the problem could be.

    Platform: PC
    Connection: Wired
    Mbps Down: 167
    Mbps Up: 8

Edit - Literally Disconnected while hitting a training dummy. This is getting ridiculous...

I will repost from a thread I commented on a while ago:

    1. Restart router/modem
    2. Open Command Prompt (windows search > type cmd > right click and "Run as administrator")
    3. In cmd type:
ipconfig /flushdns > and click enter
ipconfig /release > click enter again
    ipconfig /renew > wait a while, then...
    4. Restart PC

Since I did that, I can play without annoying 90002 disconnections 2 days in a row now. I hope it will help you as well.

Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Still DC'd during a run in a dungeon just now. I appreciate the offer though.

Still DCing roughly every 10 mins throughout instances. *sigh*....

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Do you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

There are a couple things that I can suggest that may alleviate the issue:

    1) Make sure your anti-virus/firewall has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV (you can temporarily disable them while you try to connect as well).

    2) Check the following Port Ranges on your router/modem to ensure that they have been opened:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040
Your ISP can open these ports for you.

    3) The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.

    4) perform a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Was able to run 2 dungeons this morning smoothly without any problems. Hopefully it'll still be that way when I get back from work lol. It seems it was an ISP issue from my observations of speed tests yesterday. If I run into any issues again I'll be sure to use this solution. Thank you!
