I wouldn't mind if shields just didn't have stats and the PLD main weapon was the same cost and stat weight as other main weapons.

Would open the door for:

NIN weapon is just one dagger loaded with stats and one off-hand dagger with none.

RDM weapon is just the rapier, with glam foci.

Edit: MCH gets various hip box glams too.
