    Multiple items wont load

    I cant for the life of me figure this out. Menus, music, NPCs or enemies wont load. takes 1 to 2 minutes to do things like open the map.

    i have checked every internet setting I have, all the firewall settings, I've tested my connection to se server i downloaded the patch and installed it fine.

    I have no clue what else to do. any help would be appreciated

    When did this first start happening? Do you recall anything on your PC updating/changing that coincides with this?

    Does this only occur in certain areas or is it everywhere you go?

    Do you experience any other kind of lag such as with your character movements? Or is it simply the graphical elements not loading in properly?

    Is it possible to post a screenshot or video to illustrate what you are seeing?

    i explain most of it in the video, started around the beginning of the month and i've been trying to fix it since.

    nothing special happened, i leveled to 30 without issue then it just started and made everything unplayable
    also no computer updates or anything like that, i have since updated drivers for gpu but not for this reason

    i figured it was best to show the time at the bottom of the video to tell you how long i have to wait for something to appear.

    and yes sometimes my character will stop moving like she hit an invisible wall and needs to wait for the zone i'm in to load, or when i summon a mount i have to wait to see it. things like that also.

    I'm on Wifi. though i can play and stream games like LoL, WoW, Destiny, Etc

    Please try plugging directly into the router. If you have not done so already please try updating the Internet Explorer settings as the game uses these settings:

    Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    the compatibility setting seemed to have solved it, i'll let you know if i have more issues.
