Only if you bought multiple streams. I think you got 4 tickets a stream, and the outfits cost 4? So if you bought 1 steam you could get 1 outfit, 2 you could bet both, 3 you had extras in your inventory forever.
As far as I see it, the exclusivity for such items should be in the form of having them earlier than other people. After a set time, though, I'd be perfectly content with seeing them made available for everybody. I reckon it's been long enough!
With that said, I still recall how much chaos a vocal minority caused in response to some earrings from 1.0 being made available during a recent seasonal event. I only hope that the development team are aware that such players are not representative of the community as a whole.
Ah, well, then hopefully they got enough. They probably won't have them be exchangeable since the two sets have different number of gears.
From what I heard, they were looking to add the FFX sets to the MogStation after the next FanFest in Tokyo, which would seem like the best time.
Interviewer: Previously "FFXIV" collaborated with "FFX", but when will that costume be released at the Mog station?
Yoshida: It should be added eventually. I hope to add it after the fan festival to be held in Tokyo.

Thanks for the replies everyone! ^.^ It was fun to read your responses. The post by Kurando is definitely interesting. It would be a perfect time to release the FFX outfits around that time and the source gives me hope it does. I guess i'll just have to be a bit more patient like I have been for the past few years.
Whether the fanfest was just backround noise to you or not is irrelevant. You still paid for access to it.Regardless if SE was selling more than that at the time with the outfits, the outfits and minion was used as an incentive to purchase the $30 fanfest ticket too as those were items that you could only get by paying a one-time $30 transaction, and yes I did watch the fanfest as it gave me background noise at night while working on some stuff. However, it's not wrong to want the fanfest items to be equal or close towards the pre-existing price that they were thrown into. They don't have to be $30, but they should be close towards that amount, maybe at least half which would be $15 or $10 since, like you said, they'll be kept separate anyways.
As for the items being an incentive. Yes that's true but how does this mean they should be priced as if they still come with fanfest access when they no longer would? People would be paying the same as you but would be getting less. That's pretty crappy.
This math will only look right if you're not aware of how the outfits currently work. Currently you can't have both the Tidus and Yuna outfits on one character. You get tokens you can exchange for pieces of either outfit. You can swap them if you change your mind later, but the point is you can never have both outfits at the same time. So this could mean the fanfest ticket price itself is worth more than you think.
That being said the prices you projected for the items seem about right when compared to similar items on the mog station. But it also means if you and I wanted to own both outfits at once on the same character we would have to buy another, and that's an extra $10. We would be paying another fee on top of the fanfest and goodies bundle. That's $40, not $30.
Considering the pricing you put on the items is the same as many similar items on the mog station, then we can conclude that the virtual ticket is worth around $10. Assuming SE would agree with the prices you projected.
Players rarely buy gender locked outfits they can't use on their character. So this means that most players interested in the items for use on their character would buy only one outfit. While you and I can exchange one outfit for the other, lets face it...it's not too different to having only one outfit considering we can't wear Tidus's outfit unless we fantasia. The advantage we have is if we do change gender we don't have to buy a second outfit. We can just swap them.
But your prices look right and you seem happy with them. I think the prices are reasonable as well. So while the math isn't as straight forward as you presented it, we do agree on the prices the items should be. While we have different opinions on what is worth what with the virtual ticket bundle, in the end we come to the same conclusion![]()

That's why I don't think they should ever have those incentives be sold separately, because they weren't sold in the first place. They were bonus for purchasing the fan fest.Whether the fanfest was just backround noise to you or not is irrelevant. You still paid for access to it.

Well, also, keep in mind that even if the outfits are gender locked and you can't use both on one character. It is quite possible for someone to still have a female main character and a male alt or vice versa. So, it could still be possible to have both outfits on one service account, but, like you said, just not on the same character itself. My main and most of my alts are females, however, I do have one male alt as well and the tickets automatically turn into Tidus's garb since the outfit reward itself is account wide and therefore, will be an in-game mailing reward upon the creation of another character no matter what.
