Controller is intermited ONLY in FFXIV since last week

Tried :
-Another pc,
-Another controller Xbox and PS4
-Wired and wireless
-Enable Controller while client is inactive check/uncheck.
-All other game work fine.
-Can repro every 20-60 sec.
-Make the game unplayable
-Tried different usb port

PC1 is a I9 32gb 2080ti
PC2 is a I7 16gb 1080ti

I loaded FFXIV on my son's pc and I have the same issue with a different controller. Seem like something is wrong since last patch or I have 3 bad pc :P

The device enumeration disabling fix work. But I cannot let it this way. My printer is not working and I cannot stream to my TV while disabled. So now I have to enable it when not playing and disabling it while playing FFXIV

Will it be addressed in an upcoming fix ?

Yes added a printer,
As said earlier, I think this should be forwarded to the dev team. I'm a software developer myself and strongly believe there is an issue in the way FFXIV is enumerating the USB device.

You can repro the Controller disconnect by simply connecting a USB drive or… a mouse while playing FFXIV and your controller will get disconected for 2-3 sec

This is an issue when you have a device that connect and disconnect on the PC.

As you mentioned, disabling the device enumeration fixes this so it sounds like this is related to the problem. This is something that is not off by default, meaning for some reason only a small number of people run into this problem. I can replicate it by adding/removing a USB device like you mentioned, but it shouldn't be happening all the time as the enumerator doesn't need to refresh itself every 30 seconds.

There seems to be something causing this on your PC, whether this be a piece of hardware that's constantly being disconnected and reconnected, or active software that is constantly scanning for new hardware. You mentioned this happens on two different PCs, can you think of a similarity between the two that would fall into those categories?

You are right, it happening on all my pc because a printer had a bad rj45 cable and was constantly connecting/disconecting. Changing the cable resolved the issue.

But still, i'm sure that it would be a good possible improvement to rework that part of the code in FFXIV controller enumeration logic.
