This is...very disappointing news, to say the least. I don't really like the direction this game is going if iconic jobs like this are being treated in such a manner and fan feedback is being immediately disregarded. I'm not going to be one of those people that uses unsubbing as blackmail, but...I think it's time for me to take a good, long break from this game, for my own hopefully continued enjoyment in the future.
