Savage Completion Rate ~5%+ of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to savage"
Ultimate Completion Rate ~1% of active players. Community: "Ugh stop catering to the hardcore raiders"
Frontline/ Rival Wings/ Hidden Gorge Mount Aquisition ~0.05-1% of active players. Community: "Ugh PVP is so dead in this game, they should stop investing in it"
Blue Mage Morbol Mount Aquisition ~0.01% of active players. Community: "WoW bLuE mAgE iS sO fUn AnD aCtIvE i CaN't WaIt FoR mOrE lImItEd JoBs"
"Hardcore" content, not more expansive, fun or interesting content. Yeah, all the problems with BLU is that it's not hard enough. Guess the 5%> drop rate on Primals isn't enough to satisfy.
I bet it's just going to be arbitary restrictions and for more copy-paste with higher potencies, maybe a few different statuses, and for there to be like a Savage version of Masked Carnival.
No one should defend this type of content. Don't justify saying to wait when SE themselves said they wanted to avoid "release now, patch later" attitude. Guess just another broken promise.
I'm sorry that it wasn't that helpful, it's just when I see someone go "HUR DUR HUR JUST REBUILD THE CLASS FROM THE GROUND UP, IT'S NOT LIKE YOU HAVE LIMITED RESOURCES, MANPOWER OR TIME RIGHT NOW OR IN THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE. blu is a travesty.
I only unlocked it so the quest icon would disappear in limsa and stop bothering me, after that I dropped all the gear in a field somewhere and went about my day, blu is probably the only thing in the game that actually made me legit mad after years of playing.
But that's no justification for SE. With how SE released BLU, it does feel like they have a lack of manpower, resources and time. That's how bad it is. I joke about SE being a small Korean Indie company running an MMO and the more I say it the less funny and more bitter it becomes.
They're a huge company with billions. Yes, we understand that such thing takes tome and resources, but this is an MMO. Everything that happens takes such things. It's why we got a cutdown in dungeons again so the dev team can focus on Eureka (failed content, tell me that doesn't feel like a lack of everything.)
We say such things because we hold SE to better standards than that, and when they fail, it's even more disappointing because they aren't a Indie Korean company running an MMO.
For me personally, expand the system, use this BLU as a template, allow the skills to be used like Skillchain, create a flowing rotation, limit broken stuff and make it unlimited and BLU fixed imo.
Then scrap it, work on it until it's an actual finished product - however long that takes - THEN introduce it to the game.I'm sorry that it wasn't that helpful, it's just when I see someone go "HUR DUR HUR JUST REBUILD THE CLASS FROM THE GROUND UP, IT'S NOT LIKE YOU HAVE LIMITED RESOURCES, MANPOWER OR TIME RIGHT NOW OR IN THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE. You know... Like every single other thing they put into the game?
They don't add in new dungeons that only have the first room unlocked with promises of "More content and "Hardcore Bosses" to be added at a later date"
They don't add in MSQ when it's just text boxes filled with Japanese with promises of "More translation and "Unique cutscenes" to be added at a later date"
Why should they implement a half-baked and unfinished BLU with promises of "More spells and "Hardcore content" to be added at a later date"?
SE choose to not utilize beta test servers to get player feedback of things in development. They should not use live servers in lieu of them.

Leaving the "limited job" apologists aside, what Yoshida said can be interpreted in different ways.https://youtu.be/ZGezcBuu-mc at 29 mins
On one hand they're subtly admitting that limited jobs are bogus, and they know the community reception was bad but they still want to "wait and see" whether they can get away with it, before they officially declare the experiment to be the madness that it is.
The reason why is because of his previous interview on this issue, while still being quite vague, the tone was more final on the "limited jobs" staying, even though he said "as of now". Compare the two and see how this actually sounds way more of an open ending for BLU, since Yoshida seems to have deliberately left the door open for potential changes, by yet again sounding vague and not ruling out that a "change" could very well mean a rework of BLU.
To me, it seems like this is just the beginning of backpedaling.
The other is as you, and others, have said that Yoshida just completely shut down any confrontation when it comes to BLU.
Maybe for 6.0? Who knows.
NO. There are so many bads that have all the spells and don't know to put them on their bar and use them. Imagine if those kind of people showed up in df with most of their spell book missing. BLU is perfectly fine as a side job (that I don't care about)
