Multi coloring a chocobo?

As other said though I would love to see the option to better color our bird, but then again I did also nearly write a short story hoping SE would add more to chocobo features in the game XD (here).

My friend encountered a player with a certain chocobo that had red tipped feathers and was colored black. Is this because it's a different mount all on its own or is it a special color of chocobo colors?

Perhaps it's a black-feathered chocobo wearing the hive barding.

Friend confirms it wasn't. The chocobo wasn't wearing a barding at all.

Wow! I've also just recently discovered that there was a website dedicated to housing items. Is there an existing compendium of such websites I may refer to?

I'll see if I can put a decent list together later, do you have any specific websites you wish for? Reddit has some good lists but they might cause problems here since they usually refence parsers too.

There are some unique chocobos, like yellow with white tips draught chocobo (two seater mount from friend campaign). Your colorable chocobo doesn't have tips as a color choice, only preset birds will come with things like that.
