Should we get an earnings warning?

We all see them. People who get so swept up in undercutting their opponents that they dip into taking a loss. Especially when it's the materia market. I often times check my prices (which I keep for typically small profit margins) only to see the people who undercut me are selling for less that what they would earn from an npc vendor. Not even including the market tax.

I obviously buy these up and just flip to a vendor but it honestly gets kind of annoying when people do this since we would obviously make more from selling to other players proper if people would stop doing this.

So my question is should we just make a warning for people who can't be bothered to even look if they're taking a loss either from pricing or the market tax? At this point it feels like it's more of a problem for everyone else than it is a profit to just flip from them.

You can already see what things sell to an NPC for, as well as how much things cost at NPC shops.
The literal default listing price is the NPC sale price.

Some people just wanna give things away, I guess. They'll either not use or not want such additional help.

To be honest a lot of times I post stuff on market is due to inventory getting full, not to make money. So the speed of selling items is better than any profit. Of course certain items are definitely worth posting at profitable price.

What? It's faster to sell to an NPC. I am so confused.

^ This. And you can sell it directly from the retainer when you are going to list items so wasting a sale slot when you can just sell it outright makes no sense at all; especially if you are trying to clear out inventory.

I read this as 'earrings warning.' But yes, if ppl want to sell things under the vendor price then more power (and less money) to them. Doman Enclave would gladly take them for more than that but sometimes teleporting (or just walking in general) is just...too.. Much. Lol.

I've heard of puting things for sale for a price you know no one will buy just for storage. I do it my self but not the other way around >.>'
