Memory Leak Issue

Ever since the recent maintenance and update, I've been having severe memory and processing issues when attempting to play XIV, with CPU usage being maxed out and memory usage skyrocketing even when I'm only sitting on the title screen. Prior to this maintenance, I was able to play just fine, and experienced no issues even during large NM fights in Hydatos.

Drivers are updated, and I attempted a fresh reinstall last night, to no avail. I don't have this issue with any other games either.

I am experiencing several of the same issues. My Memory (RAM) was constantly increasing (to the point where I had to reset my PC), and my CPU was spiking. I did a fresh windows installation, and my memory is now capped in the low thirties. My CPU is still fluctuating. I, too, deal with this problem only with FFXIV. I am eagerly awaiting any response or remedy.

Can you submit a Final Fantasy XIV system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

What other programs/apps do you have open while playing the game (whether they are in a window or in the background).

Usually the only stuff going in the background is my antivirus/malware and Discord.

EDIT: FIXED!

Turning off the Discord in-game overlay fixed the problem for me, hope it works for anyone else that might have the issue!

I'm also having the same problem. Sometimes it's ok (last night I played fine) but often it will increase the CPU useage until it's at 100% useage, then the PC will start crashing.

Thank you for the reply RynZekar.

Can you try a clean boot? Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

Make sure not to open any other programs and leave all overlays disabled.

I had some weird CPU usage issues that cropped up right after 4.55. I only had issues while playing FFXIV so I figured that was to blame. Turns out Discord is what was causing it. Closing and re-opening Discord fixes the issue. I'm assuming it's tied to caching all the media people post in it. May be totally unrelated to what you are experiencing but I figured I'd post this here in case it helps someone.

When move in goblet my cpu and gpu goes to 100% usage from 20% that runs normal at. The freezes up for about 5 seconds when does it. No way with 1070ti and quad core that should be happening. I have nothing running in back ground. It just started happening today after the new patch update. Any time now enter my private house or room the game freezes up. I use pc with wired connection. My pc is only thing have using the internet connection. So I don't use a router.
