I opened all the ports. I removed antivirus software. I turned off the firewall. But I continue to receive error 90002. Some days not at all, some days only once, and other days constantly.
I also noticed that the error occurs when the server is full.

Tried port forwarding, clearing my cookies, turning off firewall and antivirus, running FFXIV in compatibility mode with windows 7 and running as administrator. Disconnects seem to happen at random; I'll get none one day, only one the next day, and a ton on another day. Going to try flushing DNS today and playing through a VPN this weekend to see if that stops any of the disconnects. Disconnects also only happen in duties, they never happen out in the field, thinking there may be issues with cross-server connection in duties. Done tests on my ping and traced hops during both stable moments and while disconnecting and found that my connection to my server is always stable, which is what suggests to me that I'm having cross-server connection issues.

I have the same problem since 4.5.
Everyday, I have at least one disconnection.
Sometimes after getting this error, there is a small queue like 10 people.
I am disconnected everywhere in the game. This happen usually between 1h30 and 3h00 of playtime in a row.
So far I remember being disconnected during Trial, Eureka, Baldesion Arsenal, PVP, Mahjong, and in the global world.
I have tried many things that what listed in previous thread like the configurations on internet explorer, window 7 compatibility, disable softwares who use my connection, but nothing changed at all.

I started getting them again today. I know its your servers causing them. Very weird when have 2 clients running on same pc and 1 gets 90002 error but other one is running fine. Please talk to your server provider about fixing these disconnects that some many gets everyday. I can watch netfix with problems. Play any other online game with zero problems. Only happens on this game where get 90002 errors. That's very weird. My connecting is wire and use no router. If it was on my side both clients running would both had 90002 errors. Tells me your servers just randomly kick players.
Just disconnected from the server twice. I keep getting this error. I followed all the recommendations, but the problem remained unsolved.Technical support simply ignores this problem.
I started getting them about a month ago, once or so a day and now it seems to happen in chains of two and three. I've noticed that not always, but many times it happens while I am running forward but sometimes it happens while I am AFK, or when I am crafting too. It happens often in cities.

These are not real fixes and I don't understand why they are being repeatedly suggested by support members. The game is literally freezing and crashing which has nothing to do with startup, port forwarding, routers and firewalls.

Anyone that has worked in tech support or on computers having problems like these know that it's best to rule out all these things first. You would be shocked at how often a router or antivirus program can cause problems. I ran into the antivirus problem a few times a month in my ~10 years doing support. Most of the time it's someone running some no-name antivirus or a very outdated one.
Try reinstalling your client.
I had this issue every night for the past two weeks. My husband is connected to the same router with the same wired connection and uses the same Windows 7 OS and has had zero issues. I tried changing my IE settings and setting compatibility to Windows 7 and it got worse. It was happening 95% of the time I entered combat, dungeon or not. Within a matter of seconds of combat starting. I couldn't do raids any more. I suspected that maybe one of my files got corrupted somehow and some action used in combat was broken.
Uninstalled/reinstalled last night. Tonight, I got through all my roulettes with zero issues.
EDIT: Okay, nevermind. Just ran a Syrcus Tower and got 90002 in the middle of the third boss (while my husband continued to fight the same boss on his PC with no problems). Gave me a 2002 error about the lobby server connection having issues when I tried to log back in, but luckily I was able to relaunch the game and got the rest of the way through the raid without more than a few seconds of lag.

Is there an actual fix for this? I get this error about every 20 secs to 4 minutes, and I checked everything over and can't find a clientside error.
I'm mostly annoyed because this only started after my free trial was up and I bought additional time, which I now can't use...
