    Castrum Meridianum Queue times

Hey, I'm reasonably new to the game so this is my first play through of the main story.

I hit 50 a few days ago and come to the point where i need to complete Castrum Meridianum.

First time i queued, over 2 hours and nothing...until i went afk lmao.
Second time over an hour then someone declined and then its like i fell into the eternal queue void.
Currently sitting at 70 mins in queue questioning my very existence

    Is this normal?

    Send help.

Yes, it is normal. The dungeon requires 8 people and has unskippable cutscenes, so very few people queue up for it.

If you're willing to level up a tank, it might be easier to get a queue going. There's always the party finder option too.

If you dont care about doing this the proper way, you can always ask a friend or FC-mate to do this content unsyched with you.

    What does that mean?
It means that you enter the duty with your current party straight away, ignoring the people-requirements for it. You'll also keep your level, so instead of being syched to 50, a level 70 friend would stay at 70. You are giving up all drops from the mobs (in most dungeons/trials there arent any intresting drops straight from the enemies anyways; chests are staying though and you'll get that loot - except CM doesnt has any, anyways) and all experience you would have gained (considering there are more and better ways to get exp than those dungeons... small price to pay).
You'd basically be avoiding queuetimes and if you can find a nice and patient enough person to go through with you, your run is gonna be a lot more pleasent than it ever will be by using the DF. I'd offer to keep you company, but sadly we're not on the same datacenter.

You enter content in this unsyched fashion by clicking on the little gear-icon in the top right (? or was it top left?) corner of your DF-window and put a check on the unsyched-option.
This might come in handy a few more times, for example when you want to do old Ex-primals and the like - I would highly recommend to just unsych them or at the very least form a party of your own before. Somethings are best not done with the DF.

Don't forget to set all languages.
Kujata is a JP server so try to queue in their prime time.
Or find a friend to do it unsync to progress like Vidu said.

    Good luck!

Yea, I can remember seeing this mentioned before. If you don't have all languages set, you limit who you can play with if I recall correctly. So be sure you have that done. Meridianum and the other 8 man dungeon that follow are very easy, and even if you die or fall behind, you'll get a prompt when boss rooms seal to teleport in, so you don't really need to understand what other players might be saying.

Echoing the "turn on all language options" recommendation. It makes a big difference to the waiting time on any direct queues that you join, as it will match you with all players instead of trying to gather eight who all speak English.

I'm on the same data centre as you, and it's been a little while since I've tried to queue for those less-popular instances as a DPS, but I definitely don't think it should take that long.

I queue for main scenario roulette every day, on one hand because it gives the most EXP out of my current roulette, on the other hand because I know the annoying queue times from when I first started... But yeah would only run it outside duty finder roulette for a friend or if someone asked me for it.

A few tips (most already mentioned):

yes, definitely add more languages to your searching (duty finder, top left gear symbol).

if you still are in the novice network or even better if you got a free company ask 1-2 tanks and 1-2 healers to join, it goes way faster then.

Unsynced only when everything else fails... at least I prefer to run every first content synced for the experience.
