Ability to convert Tomestones.

I'm currently doing the PLD Anima weapon and need a crap tone of Poetics. However I have a mound of Mendacity I'm sitting on cause there's nothing I want to buy with them. It would be cool if we could convert Mendacity to poetics and vice versa to be able to make use out of them rather than they just remain capped forever and ever.

Note I'm not asking for current tome to be convertable. Just the uncapped 2nd tier ones.

It might be feasible if you only convert tomes earned beyond the cap of 2000, because otherwise I feel like this could invalidate a lot of old content. I don't know many people who prefer how their job plays at level 50 compared to level 70, so if you could earn a lot more poetics by only doing level capped content, why run anything else?

The only way I see them doing this is if they give you a gosh-awful conversion rate. That's to get around the legit concerns briar brought up.

Addendum: one huge reason they probably won't do anything is MSQ roulette. It gives you a proverbial mountain of poetics, and it's hard enough for them to get people to run it anyway. They won't give up on that.

I recently did an anima weapon too, and really it doesnt take long to get the tomestones.
Yeah I was impatient at first, but it only took 2 weeks, and that wasnt even playing every single day.

As for mendacity, you can buy the crafting mats to sell on MB for gil.

And then you have the flip side of the coin, where people who are capped on unwanted poetics want to convert them into mendacity.

There's no simple solution to acheive this.

Just consider that tomestones of creation are already extinct, and mendacity and genesis will go the same way once 5.0 hits.
Spending resources on such a system is probably not worth it.
