Can we have a report option for abusing Party Finder?

I was hoping to avoid the forums until I completed all of 4.55 but something came up that I feel we need to address.

I was looking in party finder for some Eureka stuff and saw something besides the content selling in the ? section. Two people were Name Shaming someone on my Data Center. They were saying some really heinous stuff. But due to the Privacy policy I'm not able to report these people on the other players behalf. Not only that but I'd prefer to not have people accusing other players of various actual crimes while I'm browsing party finder.

Can we please get an option to report PF abuse for stuff like content selling and Name Shaming?

What do you mean by an option to report them? If they are name shaming in party finder you can report them, and GMs will determine what to do from there based on several factors (they'll have info we won't to have a better history and total picture).

Naming shaming is definitely not allowed on the forums, doubt it is in game.

The issue there is that I've contacted them before on players abusing other players and I've been told they can't help because the harassed player has to be the one to step forward due to their privacy policy. The PF wasn't directed at me specifically so I can't report it under harassment. Unless there's another category I could list it under?

Yea this happened to me as well. I saw someone say some truly nasty things about another player, and I knew these two players weren't friends so it wasn't an in-joke, and the GM basically told me they won't do anything unless the actual victim of the abuse makes the report themselves.

it's basically can you prove it if you're a 3rd party. unless you were quick enough to take screenshots, anyone could just "create" a story that they say they saw and report it to a GM. Are they supposed to believe you?

GMs don't take screenshots as proof. They have server logs for proof and don't need to believe the reporter since they can see for themselves.

I agree 100% with the GM's response. If you are being harassed, you can report. If it has nothing to do with you just play your game and go about your own business.

With the new ToS it's always worth trying it again?

You can always try but it's up to the actual person on the receiving end to file the report.
