Having a blast with BA. Join a BA discord and just rely on premades. The few pugs we’ve had help fill premades usually die before raiden anyway. Also at least have 4 groups if you’re premaking. It usually pops an overflow instance if you queue at once.

Last night i join my first ba discord pt and end up doing nothing since another group lay claim to the instance for 3 hours. Discord pt is a mistake imo since it breed elitism. They berate peopel who are just trying to go in for the first time.

No they berate you because you take a spot for one of their own who are trying to get into BA. That ain't elitism. Elistism would be keeping you out because your bard play is not up to their standards.

That is elitism because those portals are for anyone who fit the criteria, not just people who preform before entering Eureka. Stop with the entitlement already.

I mean if you feel like messing up an Arsenal run, go ahead. Don't whine if a group is stuck as 8 DPS though.

I highly doubt anyone entering BA has the intention to “mess it up.” (and if they are, it’s a small minority.) They are participating in content available to them. People playing this game are not stupid, they can learn fights and mechanics if they play the content. Premades are allowed to ask that no one takes a portal but that’s as far as it goes. You are not being kind to others when you berate them for “stealing” something that never even belonged to you. People entering BA even with a group telling them “not to steal portals” are well within their right and aren’t breaking any rules.

You're not wrong by any means, those portals are entitled to everyone in the instance. Telling people to stop being elitist/entitled, however, is not looking at the big picture and just fuels more arguments.

The reality is (based on my own 6-7 runs of BA and all the anecdotes I've seen in this thread and discord) going in unprepared is just asking to wipe early with few rewards. This contrasts harshly with the motive of the pre-made groups. All of the pre-made groups have 1 goal: maximize success probability. The biggest/easiest way to maximize success is to reduce the randomness to as close to zero as possible with Discord (voice chat, callouts, maps, assigned groups, dedicated logos users, warning the Hydratos instance of the support fate, etc). Every single group I've been in has said the same thing to everyone before we jumped in the portal: "If someone is attempting to take your 'assigned portal', ask them nicely to let you in and send them a link to the Discord so they can join the next run. If they refuse, do not harass them and good luck otherwise."

Its been said a thousand times before, but I agree with the notion that "this is just how the NA servers operate". The fact we're dedicated to re-queue 50 times in order get the same instance is a testament that we do not operate in the way SE intends for us to. We operate to clear content in the least amount of time with the lowest chances to fail, possible. I can see both sides of the situation as it is currently a hot topic in my FC and both groups are getting heated over it.

But it does. Like i said i joined a discord server and heard people talking on how they look down on people without discord. Maybe elitism is the wrong word, a mob mentality/bully tactic. Anyway, a good way to stop it is simple... a system enforced cool down like dynamis after you exit BA.

The other issue is groups spamming the instances to get everyone in the same place. We've had multiple groups of 50+ people doing this at the same time also. Surely this should not be part of the design.
