would you trust 16 to 24 random people who you have no clue how experienced they are or prepared they are in an extreme primal setting where you cannot raise any member of your team without risking a 70% procHow about instead of expecting the other 80 people in the instance to not try BA at all you go in with 3 or 4 premade groups and let the rest be pugs. Your premades don’t own BA or the portals and expecting 80 some other people to not play BA at all is ridiculous and screams entitlement. Get real.

I think the recruitment methods could, and should, be improved for BA in this regard. Would I trust 16-24 random people? Not one bit. I would certainly like to form a group of like minded and skilled individuals in order to tackle the content. However, it is sort of a free for all which makes that difficult sometimes. Honestly it should have been its own limited time instance which could be queued for with premades (including alliances) instead of fighting for access.

Absolutely recruitment is the 1st big hurdle 2nd is the complete reliance on no one messing up premades trying to attempt this content (includes SE servers with this one), we did a run earlier where our support group lost 1 member due to a random person entering they had every right to enter same as us we asked nicely beforehand if people could leave alone so we can try get AV & Ozma down this person decided to enter then expected us to invite them to a party after we refused ofc and they promptly died we were down 1 dps (wouldn't have saved Ozma wipe) because despite trying to organise as best we could a random person who may want to see or might be an bleep could make things harder if this difficulty remains it needs to be completely separate content imoI think the recruitment methods could, and should, be improved for BA in this regard. Or people start using their brain because without someone that organizes properly that stuff will not be completed by anyone. How about instead of expecting the other 80 people in the instance to not try BA at all you go in with 3 or 4 premade groups and let the rest be pugs. Then the group wipes because new people murder the teams on ozma since any personal mistakes result in the group dying, especially accleration bomb. They don't even need to be in the same party. Extra healers on each side wipe the group with their bleeds. Lots of fun stuff. How about instead of expecting the other 80 people in the instance to not try BA at all you go in with 3 or 4 premade groups and let the rest be pugs. Or, no one can clear the locked trash rooms before AV because pugs don't have enough tanks or healers.
This isn't a case of trying to cut out pugs. At this point in time, you need people in particular roles in group to even get to the bosses. You can't change classes inside. If there is no organised groups then the alliance as a whole will fail.
The other stress is this. If you die in ozma, you are going to take others down with you. If the rest of the group clears, anyone dead will not get the achivement and will not receive any loot including the mount.
We have had 3 seperate incidents of pugs murdering pre-made teams and costing them. It's super rough.

Arsenal is amazing, outside of some issues the biggest of them being zoning in together as a premade and portals being made for a pick up group experience while the content being appearently planned for a organized raid. Its truly a great raid unlike any other. Of course, it has more issues but they aren't as major as the ones I've listed.
I hope SE takes this as a hint that Savage Alliance raids can be a thing in the future. Or even do a scaled down version of the Arsenal for the next exploration cotent they bring us.
If you ask me this is exactly what the game needs less of. Once is fine as Eureka is XI nostalgia side content, but it would be a big mistake if they decided to lean harder on things like this in the game's future, there is a reason mmos are not designed like that any more.Arsenal is amazing, outside of some issues the biggest of them being zoning in together as a premade and portals being made for a pick up group experience while the content being appearently planned for a organized raid. The issue with large raid sizes is that by virtue of scale, it has to be tuned to be mechanically easy but logistically difficult to compensate. What this means is that the accessibility of the content now depends less on personal skill and more on your ability to network with people. This may be a novel experience for those who have only seen XIV's 8m raids, but it makes for very shallow, unsatisfying content in the long term. I do not play games to devote time to linkshell politics and whether I'm going to stay in someone's good graces and keep my spot. When content leans more on logistics and socialization than actual difficulty to function, you need only look at things like hunt communities to see the kind of petty drama it creates. It also exacerbates communication issues on datacenters where multiple languages are spoken.
In contrast, XIV's 8m savage and ultimate raids are some of the most meritocratic and egalitarian raid frameworks that exist in mmos right now. You 'only' need 7 other people to function, which means you have a considerable degree of freedom to choose who you want to work with. That's why I'll take savage 4m dungeons and more potd/hoh over savage alliance raids any day. BA would've been amazing as content like potd with its hallways and random traps, the people with the skill and persistence to solo HoH to 100 deserve rewards like this more than someone who can sit in discord for several hours.
If there is one bright side to BA, it's that the harsh resurrection penalty imposes real stakes to every encounter and makes jobs like BLM more attractive options. If they ever feel like jobs' access to resurrection abilities are hindering their fight design, they can pull out a solution like this again.

This mostly... It would be so sweet to just hop into it and try. I was in a Treasure map LS a while ago, the lead was... complicated and all the time he asked at like 14:00 for maps, to do them at like 20:00, while gettin salty if no one is up to it... in the end he disbanded it after new content was out and ppl were bussy with Orbonne etc >_>I do not play games to devote time to linkshell politics and whether I'm going to stay in someone's good graces and keep my spot.
