I think it's less hate for healers getting new content and more people don't like playing Healer and want new content.
It's the same thing with Gunbreaker... No small number of people wanted it to be a DPS class because they're DPS mains.
People want shiny new content for their preferred role. Tanks and Healers just happen to be not the most popular roles...

I'm referring specifically to those that would take delight in the disappointment/distress that would be caused to healer mains, not those wanting a new class to play (The gunbreaker threads were a lot more of the latter, "I want to play it but I don't play tanks" not "I want to see the tank forums up in arms")I think it's less hate for healers getting new content and more people don't like playing Healer and want new content.

A guy who has an almost spotless track record called it. To put in perspective they called:
A story primal
Various plot points, including twists
A story instance event type that was previously unseen
Blue Mage (That it would be released mid-expansion, too. Iirc they called it to be shown at E3, but that could be a scheduling issue. The only significant strike here is they said Support Melee.)
Gunblade
Monster Hunter crossover
Viera
All four Alphascape bosses in order
They were also incorrect about the first boss of Swallow's Compass (Which could be taken from the geomancy trash pulls before it), but for leaks that's almost unprecedented. I think it's safe to say at this point we're getting dancer.
I don't think they called it as healer, but since we didn't get on in StB and recently Yoshi said they're trying to keep healer and tank numbers balanced, healer dancer looks very likely.

Confirm the leak?
Well, it was leaked by a person called BluFever. You can read about his/her leaks here https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...lufever_leaks/
But in short the leaks were highly accurate - a mistake on the timing of Blue Mage being about the only thing wrong but it makes sense a localization person might not know the exact schedule for content. So I feel we can say with high confidence, "dancer is coming".
Worth noting that Hrothgar was just corroborated by a different leak - this time from the FFXIV client itself.
They actually confirmed after BLU was released, that they first planned to release it in 4.4, rather than 4.5Confirm the leak?

Which would mean it's reveal likely would have been around E3.

I'm so put off by the potential balance issues I can't even get excited.

It’ll be pretty hard to not give such a unique class, unique healing tools. I mean unless they literally copy and paste AST but instead of SECT we get dance forms or something.
“Courage is the magic that turns dreams into a reality”

It’s going to be bad if it’s a Melee Healer, they better give some throwing daggers and make it a Healer/Ranged Physical inspired job. Healers have always been the first line of defense to do mechanics and there are some mechanics that flat or require healers to break away from the boss more so than any other role. If these guys gotta be in melee range to do damage. They might as well just dance out of the party
