What's a good Piety Spell Speed ratio?

I know this is sort of a silly question but with all the spell speed that's been added via the Scaevan gear I've noticed my mana seems to disappear much faster than it used to.

I know sps is a dps boost but I'd like to know if it's worth having to meld piety just to keep my mana up.

I don't know your exact equipment, yet I would like to know how you reach those numbers...

Anyway, while your SpS values are high, so are your PIE values. I don't get how you can have any mana problems. You probably fail to keep Lucid Dreaming/Energy Drain/Thin Air on CD or in phases you need to heal/AoE the most. Or you heal/rez too much. If you have caster or range DPS (BRD/MCH) in your party, ask for Mana Shift and Refresh.

A few tips on healing: as SCH you let your fairy do most healing (Embrace, Whispering Dawn, Rouse, Fey Union); if you need to AoE heal, use Indomitability; think of Succor as your last resort for healing - except you really need to prevent incoming damage, but you can also spread an Adlo (saves around 500 mana and is stronger); for single target use your Aetherflow skills first (Excogitaion > Lustrate); if you need additional stacks, use Dissipation, and replenish your mana with Energy Drain; make use of your Aetherflow trait!

As WHM, if you know there will be phases that require many GCD heals, save your Thin Air for that, overwise use it on CD/for AoE damage (Holy spam); use Asylum to top your party before using any GCD heals (800 healing potency over time); Medica II can top your party without any additional heals, its healing potency is wooping 700 (more than Cure III for less mana) if you let the HoT do the work! If there is no damage in succession, use it before any other heals or use it in combination with Plenary Indulgence; keep Assize on CD, it restores 10% of your mana!

In general, keep your healing low, GCD heals use most mana. HoTs > continuous GCD healing - that includes Whispering Dawn, too. It's not your job to keep your party members topped at all times, but to keep your party alive. If you top them every time they recieve damage, you are wasting mana - mana you could have used in times healing is needed.

Echoing what was said previously. Many reasons for mana problems is underutilized MP tools and excessive/unnecessary use of MP heavy tools like Medica II.
SpS is a near dead stat on healers. The less the better. As vague as it sounds, piety until you have enough. Too much and you have excessive which could be in better use (Crit > Det) and too low and you run out easier.

I run 1,454 SpS with 749 PIE on WHM with minimal issues, though I can also operate WHM at 3 digit MP and still feel fine even when going nuts with multiple Raises in 24man instances, so take what you will from that.

I'd say from a WHM perspective, understanding when to Thin Air will help you with mana issues, or even using it just to spam Stone IV will still net you a free 2,400MP.

I do run 1,209 SpS with 989 PIE on SCH and I do run into MP issues on O12S even with a BRD due to more Succor's than normally required for the fight. Otherwise as long as you're keeping Aetherflow and Lucid off CD consistently, it should keep you going decently well.
