WHat a surprise i got when i choose to make a session to clean all those dam it blue quest, to have one who bring me some far place and give me nothing -_-;

Didnt expect a mini movie in the game, and i have to admit, didnt think either i would read all dialogue and make the quest only for the scene, and the story. I thought it would be just a joke for one or two quest but no, it was a really Thriller with several episode, great and original idea we have.

Many easter egg on it also.

Of cours Briand is a Shelock Holmes, and i think from the Benedict Cumberbach series (sorry if i spell bad the name they arent easy) with the first scene where Briand find the first gulty guy by only observing. Or even his design, very tal and thin with cold blood
Later in a serie, we met an npc named Humphrey, which is the name of Humphrey Boggart, famous actor from 1940 1950 black thriller period.

Of course Hidibli and his Nashu , Nushi, (well i dont know, dam those name) friend, take back the whole kind of buddy movie, in the idea of black thriller more "funny" Like "Who wants the death of Roger Rabbit".

All charcater have a great personnality and give many feels to player, all are usefull, and some are really joke by themself. The Hidibli 's father make me think about some crazy mangas like "Great teacher onizuka" and "classroom assassination", this side of crazy guy makingg crazy thing and a kind of mentor.

About the story, (spoilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll) i have nothing to say, this is perfectly wrote and acted. The plot is great and the twist very good managed, the work on the tale has been done very seriously and we feel it, cause we dont know who is the white mask until the end, that mean that is a great management of the story, also all situation and enigme resolve are logic, and well found.


Of course we find some classic trigger of this kind of plot, but really it remain a great tale still.
Also i like how the secundary character are re used on the last part, giving to the public and "continue" to their story, that nice; I m sad that Octopus didnt get a nice ending for him.

The quest give another way to journey in Eorza, giving something more common and realistic about life of everyday of people, we are not saving the world against evil empire, but just following a common affair in a city.

And the motivation of white mask is well made, showing that Ul Dah, doesnt have white hands as we could think in first part, (because the good vs the bad, and we are with the good, and so on,) we can see a kind of criticisme about the History can be used as political mean,. When we see how run our own world, this is a real insight topic in it. As we know today Japan still refuse to admit his crime done in China, maybe that a way from developper to highlight this aspect of their own History. Manderville Daddy phrase deep apologize to the white mask, and we feel him very sincere. (as probably many japanese whould do same)

And the weapon used by Ul Dah seems close to the chemical weapon used on population in some war. SO very serious topic in a very funny tale. I like this. By the way of the humor and lightness, approaching serious topic to give some message,, that is very nice.


To conclude : The adding of some dungeon is al little annoying cause it is hard to find ppl to make them and those dungeon are 2 2 4, which is harder to make them, i got the luck to have some mate to help me unsynch.

So tell me your feel about it. I heard there is other tale of this kind later on the game, but i honnestly salute the Idea of this serial of quest, which bring really many interesting stuff to speak about.
