    At least you were able to progress on your own at your own pace and Relic felt far more personal.
    I guess many wanted to finally move away from the grind fates for content (which SE over use for content and events), and Eureka turned out to be fate grind again with some "added" elements i suppose.
    ARR Relic felt more exciting at the time (do Primals under geared, etc.. and there was challenge at least)

    As for making it meaningful... you will always get different opinions on that matter. As example i think Stormblood Relic was a complete waste of time and not worth doing and is the first Relic i will not have completed to the end.

    My issue with the way Eureka is set up that as time goes by its going to be near impossible to get the weapons done (as in you need to do them now when their current).

    This can not be said for the ARR and Heavensward relics (which parts of those steps were made easier to get as time went on, and has not been the same for Eureka weapons).

    They will easily figure things out for that after the expansion. One way is to remove the elemental level syncing in the zone and for NMs. I'm not sure if you remember back in the first week of Anemos when there wasn't a level sync for NMs. People complained how quickly NMs melted like flies when people reached level 20. So if they were to remove that after the expansion, it would be very easy to solo most of them. And if elemental level was to carry on in 5.0 and go further than 60, then pretty much it would be easy to solo Anemos to Hydatos.

    Level Sync was always in place, it was more because higher level players had access to more magicite and the bonus dmg from those is quite significant.

    I'm not entirely sure anymore but i believe they simply adjusted NMs max health to mitigate this.

    But your point still stands, they can adjust and dial things down to make things more managable with very few people or even to the point where it's soloable.

    Oh that's true. It was the magicite making the difference lol. Because I remember being able to solo the Sabotender NM back then. Imagine if they also removed the ilvl 300 restriction. Things would be easily soloable.

    4.0 relic seemed very meh to me. IMO the worst relic so far and it has increased queue times for all other content.

    It simply comes down to not everyone is going to like how A B or C relic is made. Just cause you don't like how one or the other relic weapons are made doesn't mean other people don't. Hopefully they keep on changing the way relics are made so different people can enjoy the different ones. Remember this game has bunch of people playing it and not everyone is going to like doing every single thing in the game. Do what you like and leave other things you don't like to others that do.

    It's an mmo it doesn't revolve around a single player or group. There are tons of different kinds of players and different content the appeals to different people.

    People forget the old relics are still doable and people keep doing them today. Eureka will die in 5.0 and no one will ever touch it again (not even Eureka lovers).

    I really, really, REALLY dislike the RNG nature of the stats in the 4.0 relic.

    It speaks to lazy design that doesn't respect the player's time.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
