    Reinstate items to Frontlines Patch4.56

As title says, vote up to reinstate items to Frontlines and Rival Wings.

SE, you are restricting our gameplay. Because a group of players have had unpleasant experiences from certain use of items, you are punishing the whole community by removing all items. That is very extreme and very restrictive. What are these “certain uses of items” that some players have had unpleasant experiences from? Many players’ experiences may differ immensely from these other players that have claimed to have had unpleasant experiences. Reinstate items in Frontlines.

    Vote up.

Next is if your dps or hps is too high, you'll get banned. "Why are you making things unpleasant with your dps? OMG stop!"

    Ye, this is bull****.
Does it count that I find just about every patch from the day they removed chat in feast offensive? If so, SE should be banned from making games lol

Wait can someone clarify this for me haha, I just came back to XIV and dabbled in PVP, potions were ALLOWED before?? XD No wonder sometimes I felt like someone was healing who shouldn't be healing haha. Were items always allowed in all forms of PVP? Shatter/Rival wings and feast?? And to be clear, now NO items at all are allowed?

Although SE seems to have extremely dumbed down PVP from last time I played, I kind of think that's a good idea about the potions. I don't think items are usually allowed in the majority of PVP games I played before, it can give an unfair advantage, just like how they made gear not matter in PVP as well, which follows the trend of other games I played. PVP should be skill based only; cosmetic gear only. Gear shouldn't matter, no items allowed, only you and your skill.

The problem with this in XIV tho is they dumbed down the PVP so much that I re-learned the PVP game and felt competent after only like 1 hour XD In other games it takes me weeks even to feel slightly capable of holding my own haha. This game seems to be just bide your time, do map objectives, don't over extend, and coordinate your burst with others to be able to kill anything when a healer is around. It's very very simple, but I like no items anyhow.

I doubt this is about fireworks. Honestly, thought it was about the TP regain items which obviously improved some classes burst damage.

edit: although looking now, they say duels only? Not sure what this was about then really...

Feast already had item ban, but the large-scale pvp modes (frontlines and rival wings) allowed them, including potions, ether and some TP-restoring ones which were made expressly for pvp. Yeah it had been that way through all the years of FL and I'm sure many people didn't know that they could pop max-potion-hq to survive longer or TP/MP restoring items to maintain dps.

It's very generous of Square Enix to help the Moogle server economy with this. Think of all the gil they will save now that they don't need to buy 100 Heavenscrackers a day!

I don't think it's really that big of a deal. I would imagine an even bigger BM is to use that new Hildy's emote on a dead corpse! Can you imagine moonwalking on them while they are waiting to spawn? OMG! I would be so tilted if that were me, and I'd go after them! Haha!
