Established November 2009 by Caidryn Almora, Seraphim was formed by like-minded people. Beginning on Golbez Beta server, it has grown to one of the most successful Linkshells on Mysidia and will now forever be a part of Gungnir. Seraphim never slows down, we continue to grow and adapt to the changes of FFXIV. We never back down from a challenge, and are not afraid to take on anything FFXIV has to offer.

The Seraphim Creed

Seraphim considers itself mid-core. We encompass hardcore players, casual players, as well as everyone in between. As such those who join Seraphim do so looking for a home, for here we call one another family. At our core are some of the best players you will ever come across (I don't mean in-game skill), and I wouldn't have it any other way. Always remember, it's a game...have fun! Don't look at this as a job. If you do, you have already lost.

Seraphim Members

Seraphim thrives on the bonding of its members, it is the foundations in which we live by day in and day out. We strongly believe that in order to succeed, being able to establish friendships is a key to being successful. With this is in mind all members are encouraged to create events, which the council and archangels help promote, almost always giving us something to do.

We don't care what your class level is or if you are any good at it, only that you are willing to learn. You apply to Seraphim to be a part of something special. While not a requirement, we hope that all members are willing to at least listen in on our voicechat. If you are accepted we hope you use our site to it's fullest, many of our best ideas and creations.

Heart of Seraphim

Heart of Seraphim is a division within Seraphim, it was formed with end-game activities in mind. For those members of Seraphim looking for a stricter atmosphere and are not afraid to embrace their inner hardcore nature, joining Heart of Seraphim gives members a chance to put their skills to use. HoS members require a mature mentality to handle criticism, and strict class requirements in order to formulate new battle strategies against the hardest beasts of Eorzea. Information learned is then passed down to all of Seraphim. Being a part of HoS does not make you any more a significant part of Seraphim than one who is not.

The Seraphim Council

The leadership of Seraphim is formed of it's Council and Arch Angels, with regular members being deemed Angels. The Arch Angels are members of Seraphim who have gone above and beyond, choosing to aid the linkshell inside and outside of the game. The Council is formed by nominations and council vote, a practice that continues to this day and and has extended to help choose Arch Angels. No one council member has more weight than any other, we stand behind one another, and our members.

We're pretty laid back, but work hard to let the opinions of our members shape the direction of the Linkshell while maintaining an atmosphere akin to our original purpose. If you can't talk to us whenever you feel the urge, than we have goofed. As leadership we realize everyone is human, including ourselves. We recognize that we all have lives, and treat each other as such.

In Closing

I debated writing something rather witty at this point, but then I took an arrow but I'll settle with sharing something I believe to be true in FFXIV. The game is what you make it, and who you share your experiences with will mean the difference between just another MMO and one of the greatest gaming experience of your life.
