That's right! You heard correct! It's time the Duty Finder be able to do those splits, warrior 1 poses, and be more limber!

All joking aside, I think we could use and appreciate a change to the duty finder system to make it more optimal and functional. Don't you agree?

First, let's review how it currently works. Pretty simple stuff. You can normal queue as it starts by default options when you log in. Then you can alter your queue potential with sub options such as Freelance Grand Company which allows you to join any Grand Company regardless of your chosen company. This is actually great to help fill spots more and get matches started sooner. In fact, we could go into a whole formulaic methodology here in determining why people do or don't use this feature more often, but that's what this topic is not about.

Alternatively, you can join duties/raids/trials as In-Progress status which helps incomplete groups fill missing role spots. This is what my topic will focus more on.

What I am proposing we get rallied on to promote here is an increased duality to the Duty Finder system. Just imagine, if you can, what the Duty Finder would be like if you could queue as your chosen job role, but also search for other roles in need even though different to your given one?

Imagine it, if you can, logged in one day, Alliance Raid Roulette boasts a (DPS) Bonus, but you queue as a Tank. Just have the option checked of something like "Search All In-Progress Roles" and while you wait for your main role to find its way, *bing* a pop-up window appears that offers you the chance to join an existing group as a Healer. Switch jobs and accepting the Healer prompt cancels your Tank queue, gets you into a group/raid faster, and everyone is happy in the end. (Note: We cannot guarantee everyone's happiness in the end due to unmeasurable online interactions and impossible avocado standards.)

Of course declining the Healer prompt would mean you stay in your current queue as the chosen Tank role. This is just an example.

The reasoning for this proposition is because the game is at a point where MANY players currently have nearly all possible jobs leveled enough that they could play as one role or as another. It is at a point where MANY players have the skillsets needed to play as one role or as another. Thus we can conclude that the current playerbase is at a level of flexibility which the game does not do a great job of tapping into at present. It's hidden power! Unleash it!
