Quest: 'Uninvited' (i.e. Red Chocobos)

Dear Square Enix,

Please fix this rotten quest with the two red chocobos attacking the moogle 'Montblanc' in the Ivalace Raid quest 'Uninvited'

These two chocobos just cast super fast meteor and kick you with 'vulnerability' debuff. One is bad enough. Two for a solo player is pushing the limits of my patience.

Stop making stupid quests like this!

You should of seen this on release day for that particular raid, it was a way more worse than what you are experiencing now. Though it's one of those quests where you can actually get someone to help you, so saying that I'm not sure SE would ever change it.

Just make it your priority to avoid the meteors, and you should have no problem winning. When they start casting meteorss, they always do a few back-to-back, so don't stop moving until they've stopped casting. And since you don't have cast times, you can safely throw out a few attacks while dodging.

Needs more EXPLOSSSIOOON!! But yeah, those meteors are priority 1, 2 and 3. Should look up the videos on launch, it was just insane.

Lolol those chocobos are harder than Shinryu.

As a BLM I was not able to get hits in without becoming fatally vulnerable. Did /shout in chatlog, explained situation, and asked if anyone would be willing to take pity. A wandering dark knight sacrificed her life for me in that fight from the kindness of her heart. I will never forget her sacrifice.

XD Honestly while it's a little mortifying, as long as people are willing to jump in I don't think it's a problem. Makes for funny stories.

Not sure what job you are using to fight them, but for red mage you might want to charge up your mana using other enemies before attacking them. Fleche, your combo-stop midway-use manafication, start your combo over, and finish one off with Ver-Holy/Flare. Then kite the other one using your spells again while avoiding the meteors at all cost. You should also have your own chocobo out to support you in the overworld, especially if you've leveled it as a healer or tank.

I found a scarfice to help me and predictably they bit it to a metor then me not long after. Once we got into a grove it was easier to down the 2 red chocobos

Nothing better made my day then on patch day having that lovely Yanxia night music playing while you just see multiple upon multiple people eating shit to chocobo meteors, and a bunch of healers on standby ready to raise them.

I would just go into NN or limsa and shout for help prior to doing this. It's tough to complete even with a dps.
