Ishgard the most messed up area?

For one answer that isn't spoilery, Coerthas (and thus Ishgard) didn't actually used to be a snowy place back in 1.0. The Calamity cause by Bahamut cause a LOT of environmental damage though as well as upsetting the elemental aspect of Coerthas heavily towards ice, thus all the snow. Plus the area is much bigger then I presume you have explored so far.

Well i m almost at end of ARR so i think i did the round of it, ok for the reason of snow, but still, this is really too much a part with the reste of the ambiant game, that not fit at all, that how i felt

Then you still know nothing about Coerthas and Ishgard. You'll learn the full story during HW.
