Yoshi-p said in the paris fanfest that if you had ideas to improve the game to tell him what they were but I doubt he ment to tweet him personally your ideas.
While this is definitely an outlet for that more or less, not a lot of ideas from Western players are taken into consideration without a LOT of people screaming it.

Most stuff like that winds up in Mog Station a year or so afterward depending on whatever it was released for. Holiday items are usually a year after their release in the game, while items from other promotions are rarer and typically take longer.

As for physical codes, that's entirely the fault of who had it, and there's not really any need for liability on SE's part.

Housing, crafting (especially endgame gear overmelding), the glamour scene, regular expenses like travelling and maybe a good number of potentially creative ways to donate to those who aren't total gillionaires. While there could be more gil sinks, it's a lot easier for rich players to learn how to be more inventive with their money.

I envision it having only 1-2 items per week and they randomly change.
Imagine if WoW sold titles like "Hand of A'dal" or "Scarab Lord" on the Black Market. Sounds silly, but that's around the same value as that of some once-in-a-lifetime items, meaning that if the wrong item is put up there, a lot of players--especially some of the most faithful to the game--will get pissed. What makes matters worse is that there's not really a definitive list to determine "prestige level" for items, so anytime an item would be put up there would be a shot in the dark as far as who might get upset over it.

Also, any item that winds up there is an item that isn't on Mog Station, meaning that SE would lose profit.

Or you could just add all those items to the mog station either way I just want the chance to get items I was unable to get because I did not play the game at the time of their release.
They get added to Mog Station when it's the season for it. Whatever makes the most money, even if that means holding it until the season where they know people will want it, that's where SE goes.
