More Imouto power, less Tsundere energy.

I personally hate the dichotomy between standing still for ruin 3s and ruin 2. The potency gain is marginal, but adds up across a fight in a way that really hurts untrained players in a subtle way. It feels like they should decide to give us a real incentive to be a caster, or embrace our mobile ranged nature, and right now we are in the middle in a weird way.

I love how contagion windows feel and playing around those. Very happy with that change.

The #1 request is, of course, finding some way to make pets more responsive. In lieu of that, please prioritize Contagion over Air Slash and Shockwave when Garuda is on Sic at the very least. Playing around that is frustrating even for experienced players.

A personal request I would love to see is Summoners receiving a trait that allows Tri-Disaster to add the time of the DoTs already on a monster to the new DoTs it applies. I think playing around with getting very long buffed DoTs would be very fun, and would get us hard-casting our DoTs more often than just once every two minutes. Tri-Disaster would also be fairly flexible to use, and could create some interesting gameplay there.

Making pets as responsive as SCH fairies is a good start. Another thought is that currently DWT is just kind of... well, it's there. A small burst phase of a few spells with a moderately powerful finisher to be used up to lead into Bahamut later, nothing else special. While it's okay on it's own, I think we could merge that with the concept of demi-primals as well as many people's desire to have summons that come out for one powerful attack before disappearing, like in many traditional FF games. After all, lorewise our own aether reserves are temporarily bolstered by Bahamuts aether during DWT, right? So perhaps we could have a proc to summon Demi-Ramuh when no Dreadwyrm Aether is gathered, and then proc Demi-Shiva when one or more is gathered. Weaving the summon command for them during DWT has them do their special attacks (Judgement Bolt/Diamond Dust) while going through the Trance. Or something like that?

remove dots, or have them interact with the skill set more, currently they are so watered down, they're almost pointless.

Change Titan-Egi from an aggro Magnet (Which doesn't work) to a damage soak for the summoner. I.e he absorbs damage from the Summoner. This would allow him a bit more utility within end game. Though admittedly i'm not sure how they would balance it.

Change Bahamut so he isn't a lost puppy any more.

Other than that some QOL changes in merging of buttons - But not DWT & Death flare as the risk is wed end up entering it to use death flare instantly.

Have pet actions automatically change to corresponding summoned pet, and alter the order of ifrit-egi skills so that Contagion turns into Radiant Shield.

Opposite for me. But neither does that mean being satisfied with chicken nuggets. Replace their being actual pets with a persistent-dynamic spell animation if need be, but I want to see summoner and summoned working together and trading off in power and one-ness. And of course, more of them. At least one per element. Aethertrail now elementally based. Bahamut is the result of juxtoposing elements, which makes him very powerful, but quite infrequent (3 minutes at the soonest).

Change the Battle Stance and Victory Pose to be less lame. I feel like you should summon a smaller temporary Carbuncle with both emotes that interacts with you. There is no reason for the Summoner and Scholar Emotes to be the dumbest looking ones in the entire game. Dragoons doing flips for days and we just nod our head and flip a few pages. At least twirl the book a bit. Anything really is better but I would love to see the core of the job, the summon, be part of the emote.

I could write a long list of ways I'd like SMN changing, but I think I'll list a cosmetic thing I'd like.

The SMN LB3 is clearly from when the way they were going was the whole trance gimmick. Now we've moved to Bahamut-mage gimmick I think it needs an upgrade.

SMN LB3 should summon this thing!

Then demi-Bahamut pops out and gives it some of this!

It's essentially just making LB3 into a big flashier angrier summon-Bahamut, but I think it would be cool. I like SMN LB3 the least out of the caster ones, needs more explosive fanciness.

    Summon Demi-Dalamud.

Different for me as well. I'd like to see summons like palace/heaven Manticore-Pots. Summon them and take control over it for a period of time - with little individuell toolkits based on the primals lore. --> like they handle the most popular SMN in their franchise: Yuna. Playing her in FFX & Dissidia just feels right for me.

Well I think people need to remember we are playing FFXIV and that means we have to play with it's combat system. First, 4.0 showed that big summons don't work so well because it blocks the view of other player; reason we have small egi. Second, we are required to move and dodge to make combat challenging; reason a lot of SMN damage is cast time Ruin. Third, the game has to support both keyboard and controller which is why Egi's are normally on auto because controller suffer from a real case of skill bloating.
