New Server Forums - Questions

I see we now have the new server forums and people are starting to populate them with welcome, introduction and linkshell threads.

My question is will the thread from the servers merging be auto moved to the new forums once the merger has taken place? E.g. will Wutai and Gysahl thread all be moved to Masamune? If so there may be a lot of double ups on threads. If not and the other forums and their content are being deleted, can we please get a heads up, in case there are any thread we want to save some info from?

Or they might just wipe the current World forums or archive them somehow.

The correct way to deal with the old world forums would be, in my opinion, to lock them after the merge but leave them up.

I think what they should do is lock the old forums and leave them up, and rather than moving everything to the new ones, so people can use the report feature and request thier threads get moved if needed. This will allow us to keep the new forums clean and current threads that are still relevent can still be seen.

Also I would suggest if they decide to use this only the OP can request a thread moved.

Arg totally missed that post are being merged until after I re-posted our LS thread. Dah well, I'll keep that in mind in the future.
