LS Achievements

Hi all,

What do you all think about LS achievements to go along side with our personal achieves? A number of mmo's have guild/ group/ achieves and i was wondering if anyone thinks they would be a good idea for ffxiv? Was thinking it would help bond/ unite LS for a stronger sense of loyalty to a group. Give things for linkshells to do as a group. I realize we can have more than one LS so achieves would only count towards currently equipped LS. I would like to here others thoughts on the subject. Instead of complaining wanted to toss in an idea that would help build ffxiv rather than be destructive towards it.

How this gonna work though? Like you join that LS and have it's achievements? Or like being in a party with everyone from the same LS to get an achievement? And what activities would earn such an achievement?
Some examples might be nice.

You would get the LS achievements if they were done already. But would have no effect on your personal achieves.

example: defeat Ifrit 50 (insert number) times with full LS group. One non-member would not apply towards achieve.

examples:

Gathering: gather grade1 ltems 100,000 times. grade 2 items 250,000 times. grade 3 items 500,000 times. ect. All LS members with equiped shell will count towards achieve.

crafting: similar to above but for each crafting class.

battle: defeat 1 million enemies.

just for a few examples and im sure SE could dream up loads of them.

How would they determine if something is a LS wide achievement and not the achievement of just 1 member in the LS? Would the events have to only contain LS members? It sounds like it would be elaborate to record on SE's end...

Go for it, that would help LS's to be more competitive

I belive in the mmo that have that kind of stuff u can only join one guild/ls only and in here u can join multiples LS, i can be wrong though

I think it would be points for the LS, not the individuals in the LS. And with Free Companies coming, maybe this should be held off to be FC Achievements.

I agree and I wouldn't mind something like this being done for free companies... good idea all the same though
