What if Pictomancers Hammer wasn't a presentation of what normal Pictomancers use on their 2nd canvas but was rather just the WoL love of Violence made manifest?

I can't speak to your example, since I haven't touched PCT yet, but it's already true that at least all of the abilities we learn after the conclusion of our job quests (as a whole, not individually) are abilities the WoL basically invented. Even during job quests, there are instances where the WoL has iterated on or customized certain techniques for themselves, which the trainers comment on; in the DRG quests, for example.

PCT really feels like a class that is borne from the WOL’s imagination and their experiences. Like “I know a lot of monsters and those monsters hurt, maybe I can make parts of those monsters to attack” or “I’ve been buffed by allies before and it helps, maybe I could draw a scene that raises my power”

This is backed up by the solo duty at level 90 the PCT there has his own motifs that reflect his dark world state at the time
