What if DNC is SHOMHOW a DPS?

The real question should be is the Job the right Job for that Job Role.

IF SE just slaps on any job into Healer and Tank Job just because they need a Healer and Tank Job, they may go a bit too far just to satisfy the demand for more Tank and Healer

While I do agree with this, it is not the case with DNC. It is viable as a healer and I say that not as a healer main, but an mmo player (I do play all three roles).

I think that DNC can be designed in a way to fit either the healer or DPS roles, but because the game does need a new healer especially after the announcement of a new tank; it just make sense for the devs to go the healer direction. I feel it would be a missed opportunity otherwise. If we get GEO instead, or something that would clearly be just another caster, they are throwing that opportunity right into the trash.
