That mount is by far the worst thing in this game. I'm just glad that despite the player-base constantly requesting ridiculous and ugly stuff be added to the game, they rarely bother to actually use it once the novelty wears off.

During the fanfest, QandA I think it was, Yoshida made a joke about ripping the wings off of pixies and putting them on your back to make a mount out of them.

They didn't say anything about ripping wings off pixies. Just that wings might be a possible mount.

They didn't say it. Yoshida did did the motions of ripping wings of the back of Koji and sticking them on himself. Sorry if by "made a joke" I inferred they vocally said something. It was just motions. Still a joke to me tho.

It's a dangerous thing though, when you're relaying new information about "what was said" at a presentation that not everyone has seen for themselves.

A few people in the thread have clearly taken you at your word and thought that's directly what they said - which is how rumours start when they go to their friends and say "Yoshida suggested we'll get to rip the wings off pixies!"

If the Pixies turn out to be the second coming of the Moogles, I'm for it. (The ripping their wings off bit, I mean).

In all seriousness though, rather than some gaudy looking wings keeping us afloat, if we're talking minimally assisted flight, I'd be more inclined to look to something like a jetpack.
Or just the ability to outright fly. The WoL is more or less already Superman, without the flying part.

That was my first thought when they mentioned the Pixies beast tribe, they are the perfect excuse to introduce fairy wings as their exclusive mount, I just hope they add some glow and a lot of stardust when moving around!...


The Pixies deity also gives me another idea, I hope the new Primal mounts are gorgeous giant butterflies or some other beautiful creatures with wings!...
