tbh 8-9 were godly with how it worked even ffxivs system 4 cards is dumbed downIt's definitely a reason why I don't bother with TT and I loved it in FF8 and collected every card.
I'm fine with things taking a little time to collect or some cards being rare, but collecting every card would involve tens of thousands of games. It's far too much repetition and I'd find it impossible to still enjoy it after that.
Pair that with the fact 4 star cards are useless, the TT tournament is outdated and there's nothing else really to do with TT... life's just to short to burn all those hours for a few virtual 5 star cards in a game most people don't care about.
I enjoy TT a lot once I finish my in game priorities, I’ll focus on it
I agree it needs to be changed. I dont mind spending time "alot of time" beating npc's to get cards but I have so many 4 * cards that will never get used but the computer can use 2x5*+1x4*. I mean im not asking for the world just 1x5* + 1x4* + 3x3*. it really does not make any sense when your almost to 200 cards and the game has not changed since ARR.
i feel the pain, i finally got her last card, but i have a feeling instead of getting ahead, they put more of her awfulness everywhere. I think what's happening is the AI is too good now, making it virtually impossible to win fairly.
After several years - there are cards from ARR that I can't get to drop - but then again, I refuse to play 100's and 100's games in a row to get it. I just try around 20 games every now and then - but my range luck is terrible.
Maybe, because I sacrificed all the Lala's I could find for my mount drops![]()
I actually enjoy playing the game and figuring out how to beat each opponent. Unfortunately the terrible RNG ensures that I only get to spend a very small percentage of my time actively challenging an opponent, and a huge amount of time simply repeating the same strategy over and over long after I've 'solved' the encounter. The result is I just stopped caring about Triple Triad and don't even touch it anymore.
agreed, drop rate is cancer. I believe it took me 41 wins so that Kotokaze in Kugane(10,10) would drop her 2-star Kotokaze card. Makes no sense at all. Should be maximum 20 wins and you should auto-guarantee one of your missing cards.
Small sample that I had screenshot to share with fc:
Also Kikimo, on the docks of Kugane(8.6, 14), took forever to drop the 4-star Hancock card. Idk, I more commonly get 4- and 5- stars from alliance and similar raids/duties. Just garbage drop rates all around.
i have the opposite luck i get npc cards fairly quick, it's the trial cards that i never really get (or the eureka card drops when they were relevant).
Yeah, this has killed whatever motivation I had with TT, along with the regional rules against opponents with a better deck than my own in every way and they NEVER get hit with random. TT needs a bit of a rework imo, or they need to let us use the best cards we have in all slots. Honestly, with the decks that NPCs get it wouldn't break things quite that bad. TT tournaments might get hit hard, but that system also needs a bit of a rework.
Yeah, the uphill battle against the drop rate is annoying af, and broken NPC decks with multiple 5-stars doesn't make it any better.
To try to multitask, I've been tracking TT to-do spots and battling the NPCs during the longer DPS queues. The game is usually short enough to finish even if queue pops near game start.
