All the current tank mounts are inspired by mammals which are apex predators: lion, bear and leopard. Maybe the next one will be a Direwolf recolor.

The Tank mounts are also tied to the i100/110 PVP armor sets (example) and Black Mage already has the Wolf theme.

On the other hand, they stopped updating those sets after Heavensward, so it's questionable how much they'd care about the overlap.

Oh, good catch. Plus we've had a whole primal series of wolves now. The suggested dog beast would fit the theme of tank mounts and also be more unique than wolves.
