    Pre-order woes

    I'm not sure if I'm posting at the right place with small hopes of someone helping me out there.

    I'm from Bulgaria. using an EU account and I've been using visa card to pay my sub for good three years and maybe more but some months ago it suddenly stopped working. Every time I try to use it at the mog station I get this.



    I proceeded to use crysta and paypal to pay my sub so it wasn't a problem.

    However today I wanted to pre-order Shadowbringers and my nightmare returned.
    At the site whenever I choose PayPal as an option I get this as soon as I click to continue...


    So I tried my card again and I got this...


    Yes, I'm certain my card has funds.
    It was working wonderfully but some months ago and I was regurally using it on MogStation.
    My paypal also has funds.
    I've not moved location or used my card anywhere outside the country.
    I've purchased Heavensward and Stormblood way back from the store just fine.
    Card is not expired or up to expire soon.

    ... help?

    Well, after waiting about 3 days for a reply, support center told me to... contact support center. Which I found very amusing lol
    But that was the exact link I followed to send my inquiry? Anyhow, just asked a friend to pre-order for me. I wish one didn't need to find way-arounds for this.

    This is why I'm waiting like 1-2 weeks... I'm not getting the physical CE one so there is no reason to rush..

    Sounds like your bank or credit card company (whichever issued the card you are attempting to use) probably doesn't like the payment processor. I'd check with them to see why it was declined and if need be have an exception made to allow the transaction to go thru.

    In the past, a 401 error (when using a credit card) was resolved by waiting 24-48 hours THEN trying the payment again.
    I don't know if that information will help, but its something.
