Depends on how edgy you consider Squall compared to DRKs. You just know that you won't be able to go ten minutes without seeing a GUN with Revolver and the Leonheart set.
Bonus points if they respond to everything with "... Whatever"
In the concept art panel they talked about they have to worry about resources when making just the amour look different from Male to Female. So making one set of gear look different on every job while probably doable, and while it would be cool, would take a lot of resources.
They also said that they had to change how helms work to accommodate viera ears. That could probably be automated for the most part, but needing to completely redesign sets to fit job aesthetics would be a lot more difficult. In the concept art panel they talked about they have to worry about resources when making just the amour look different from Male to Female. Quite possible that they've even been adding more "light" tank gear with gunbreaker in mind!
They also have access to ARR's generic-DoW fancy gear like dungeon sets and GC uniforms that are intended to be split by tank/DPS/mage roles.
Just like every other job, then?
I still remember the time our tank was wearing nothing but the couerl-print swimwear and a floral hat.
Fingers crossed that they'll be able to make it accomodate Au Ra horns as well, and 'elf ears' without needing the oversized ear-flaps.
This was already disproved in your previous thread. The angle chosen did not properly display the dimensions of the weapon. Also, the classic revolver style Squall uses is a two hander, while ours us a one handed variant.
Fending Armor in this game already well fits the Gunbreaker aesthetic just fine, as stated above. Like much of the reveals so far, many are just jumping the gun and finding something to complain about.
I wish they would just remove class restrictions on glamours. That would solve any and all problems with job aesthetics.
The items themselves should still be restricted when worn (that is, a ninja shouldn't be able to equip Fending gear directly) but when glamour prisms are used, there is 0 reason for the restrictions to exist given that it's an illusion anyways. Tanks can already use bikini glamours so I see no reason why they couldn't glam the appearance of Striking or whatever gear over their Fending armour.

I predict that at the start of ShB, to match the atmosphere and theme, they're going to make a lot of outfits..."edgy", so to speak, including GUN. I'm basing this speculation on what I believe to be the first AF set for Gunbreaker. As the expansion will continue, and most likely wrap up it's first act within ShB's release, we'll see more variants of the set.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Actually there are cool looking dungeon gear for tanks that arent super armour heavy and are leather based.
