    Sargatanas may refer to:
    A weapon from Final Fantasy IX.
    A weapon from Final Fantasy XIII-2.
    A weapon from Dissidia Final Fantasy.
    A weapon from Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy.
    A Server on Final Fantasy XIV to be opened March 27.

    Etymology
    Sargatanas is the name of a demon, serving under Astaroth's direct command as Brigadier Major, according to the "Le Dragon Rouge" grimoire. He has the power to open locks and teleport people to anywhere they choose.

    TL;DR on Sargantanas origin:

    Fallen angel (a high-ranking one, at that), who, after some time as a lower-class demon lord in Hell, decides to lead a revolt against Lucifer along with other like-minded demons in order to gain forgiveness and re-admittance into Heaven.

    I dont understand why wherever I go everyone says that Sargantanas is a lower-class demon lord, I dont get it he was a brigadier major that reported directly to Astaroth who was Beelzebub's granddaughter. Also he wasn't leading a revolt against lucifer as lucifer was gone by that time. He was revolting against the new lord of hell who was lucifers son Beelzebub. But he was revolting against Lucifer's ideology.
