The Eureka weapon only takes less time now if you graciously plowed your way through all of the stages of it before Hydatos, this can't be said for people who are just starting on it now where getting through Anemos+ could be difficult since, for most others, there's no real reason to go back in Anemos at the moment.

I'm really not sure of that. You still find full instances of Anemos, Pagos and Pyros, either because people are leveling there to have a headstart in Hydatos, or because they're interested enough in Hydatos that the various nerfs to Anemos and Pagos finally broke their reluctance to go there.

What we can fear is how people would do the Eureka weapon after the release of Shadowbringers, but considering FFXI managed to transform a 64-player restricted-zone into an open area where everyone can solo, I'm pretty sure it can be done easily. I'm actually glad I haven't started it on my alt so that I'll be able to witness it on my spare time in several months. An easy way would be to remove any kind of lvl/ilvl/elvl sync and makes NM works like Hunt Marks.
