I'm a simple miqo'te.
I see a post begging for Eureka to die a merciful death, and I add a +1.
I also pray that being number 4,379 to plead for 5.0's relics to be nowhere near new-Eureka will have some effect.

I'm expecting their logic to be like this...
SE: "4,379 people have given feedback regarding Eureka and the relics tied to them. That must mean they love it and the content was a success! Let's do it again!"
Players: "But SE, the feedback wasn-"
SE: "Shhhh…just look at the pretty Viera..."

Honestly, i don't mind them having content like this in the game, the problem i do have however is the majority do not do this content purely out of enjoyment for the content.
Going forward if there is going to be more content like Eureka you can't lock stuff behind it just to get people to play it. ESPECIALLY BiS weapons.
If you enjoy the content just for the content itself then you need not reply to this with any snark, just play the content for what it is without having stuff locked behind it.

I think Eureka should have it's own rewards. However locking a weapon that you could previously do several different things to progress is not ok. Give it it's own Weapon, Armor, Mounts, Hairstyles, Emotes, stuff like. Content needs rewards for people to keep doing it. I just think the Relic should be it's own thing not locked to any one thing.Honestly, i don't mind them having content like this in the game, the problem i do have however is the majority do not do this content purely out of enjoyment for the content.

Savage still doesn't stop SE from making other content, Savage is basic content, and all the resources to make something "new" went to Eureka in SB.
Finished two HW relics (MNK & SCH) pre nerfs and as soon as possible, and DRK and MCH after nerfs. And I don't remember ever using any of them to clear Alexander Creator.Sounds like you have never completed a relics in ARR and HW when the quest steps were new and first made available. The relic in SB wasn't BiS most of the expansion because of the initial delays in Eureka. Previously the relic at it's highest available upgrade stage at the time was BiS or very close to it. This cycle however I am seeing far more people building relics while the content is new as opposed to ARR and HW which after a point in ARR many of the relic builders had adopted the mindset of "I'll do it later after it gets nerfed to make it easier".

Eureka doesn't also
By what definition ? And what does is matter in regards to "people only play content because they want the rewards" ?
Selective memory at its finest.
Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.
