Here's a breakdown of how it should work

- Take the healer down
- Get derplander out of your face so you can charge Alisaie's sword when called.
- Toward the end of the fight, the Mi'Quote Bard needs to be kept dead as she will focus down Alisaie cause you to fail the duty. This is the part a lot of people seem to miss.

I seem to remember having to occasionally free up a Scion to help charge Alisaie's sword the first time I did the duty, but that didn't seem to happen the second time I did it on an alt.

Incidentally, my first attempt was on a Summoner - second time on my Dragoon alt.
