Not fan of her or Alphi. But if i would have to choose choice would be clear. Pretty boy has been carried for too long

Why we need Minfilia 9ne more time? She was dead and in a good way. Things like this is what make a good story in to shit.
What is this fairy tail here? She is not dead she in a different world?

She's the avatar of Hydaelyn. That makes her fairly important when the Source is coming apart at the seams.
Also, when she left for the First, she said that she'd find a way to do the impossible and find a way back to us, as we always did for her. This is her fulfilling that promise.

Copy-pasting from my past posts because I've already written it in two different topics this week.
Minfilia never died.
She was taken - alive, body and soul - by Y'shtola's Flow spell to Hydaelyn in the aetherial sea, where she became first incorporated into Hydaelyn as the "Word of the Mother", then a free emissary who would travel to the First Shard and prevent the Flood of Light from overtaking it.
"Word of the Mother", cutscene 2: After the Antitower, you first see Minfilia as the 'Word of the Mother', and she explains what happened. Because of Hydaelyn's weakness, at the end she struggles to hold her form and seems to shatter and vanish.
Patch 3.4: Urianger pulls his grand scheme to get you and the Warriors of Darkness together, which somehow causes your crystals to channel energy to Hydaelyn and you all get warped to the aetherial sea.
"One Life for One World", cutscene 4: Minfilia appears again and says that because of the extra strength Hydaelyn has gained because of this, She has been able to set Minifilia free to act as Her emissary to the First Shard. (It's implied that she's basically an anti-Ascian at this point - the title of emissary suggests a direct opposite to Elidibus.) To save that world, we are told, it may be necessary for her to remain there forever.
And yet as she departs...
We watch her go, afraid that we may never see her again. But someday, she promises, she will return to us in triumph. That's the sort of promise that tends to get upheld in a story.MINFILIA
'Tis a strange feeling. So many times have I watched you depart, my heart filled with worry, and yet ever did you return to me in triumph.
Someday, when I have found a way to free this star from Her sorrow, I promise you I shall repay the favour.
It doesn't sound at all like a permanent farewell to me.

It could be due to her weakening and the only form she could take on

They should have kept Minfillia on that bus that drives people away from the plot.

I knew it wasn't permanent. I'm griping about the writers that continually elevate her to a place of importance when she's not actually doing anything for the story. She's got more power of the "chosen one/main character" than we, the PCs do - but we've actually earned ours. She just gets it because the writers give it to her.
My prediction is that she's going to be received with tears and amazement and gratitude, she'll spend most of her time uttering cryptic nonsense and fluttering about "the mother", she'll get into at least one terrible scrape (because she's innocent and vulnerable) that people get hurt/worse to rescue her from - and in the end she'll either "make another sacrifice" with a martyr-like countenance, or someone (Thancred) will try to sacrifice themselves for her as if it were worth losing a seasoned fighter over a 6 year old we constantly have to spend resources to protect for no good reason.
It especially irks me that Thancred and her mother idolize her out of guilt of their own past actions, of depriving her of her father, unintentionally... she's far from the only one in the game who has lost someone, so can we give it a rest? Especially as she was a grown woman who needed to be carrying herself, not being carried (except when she suddenly magically has Hydaelyn's powers because of course she does.) And even if she's a child now, she should still have the mind of an adult; if this is, instead, alternative past events then why does she get the chance to atone for her past worthlessness when we've seen other people eat what Fate gave them no matter how absolutely unfair it was.

Hahahahaha! I love reading all that salt because I... find it extremely accurate. It echoes my own thoughts. I didn't want Minfilia back, even less as a precious creature (again) that we must (more than ever) protect.I knew it wasn't permanent. I guess I should just give her another chance and see how it goes, but my own bias against her is making it difficult -laughs-

I hope we will kill her in the 5.0 + story as a servants of darkness, and the warrior of light will be spitting bile on her about how many stupid things we have done as a servant of her super lazy a55.
Plz Yoshi, we need vengence for that 1.0 MSQ.

Looking forward to hearing Sawashiro Miyuki's voice in the game again.
Young-looking Minfilia is, so far, the most exciting thing about the expansion for me. I hope they don't just throw her back into her original body too early on.
