LICH Experience

Wonder if anyone can help me with a query I have on the experience I have been receiving.

My world is Lich and up to about a month ago I was receiving large amounts of bonus experience when I was handing in quests including crafting and gathering (I think between 100% and 200% but can't remember the exact figure as after a while was taking it for granted I guess). I think a mixture of Lich being a preferred world and other factors was contributing to this bonus.

I now have a Black Mage (only fighting class so far) at level 53 and have been levelling all crafting and gathering classes equally with them all sat between levels 36 and 39. The bonus experience I have been receiving simply just stopped being awarded for my Black Mage and when I have moved across to the crafters/gathers this is also the case. I have checked and Lich is still a preferred world and I am always logged out in a sanctuary for the resting bonus but no additional bonus seems to be awarded or if I do get any it is very small compared to what I used to receive.

I've looked on the experience guides online and can't find anything that answers why my experience gains have fallen so drastically. Therefore can any of you experienced players let me know what the issue is here and whether this is a bug on my character or something I am doing wrong or not fully understanding?

There are some items that give bonus exp up to certain levels, like the ala mhigo earrings and brand new ring, I don't know if those would be part of it?

I don't really know the ins and outs of preferred worlds unfortunately so I don't know if something would cause you to lose that bonus.

Did 90 days passed from the character creation date?

EXP boosting items only work upto 30, or specifically the Brand New Ring does. I don't know about the Ala Mhigo Earrings.

Preferred status expires after 90 days. After that, you have your rested EXP as per normal (additional % varying on the content you're doing) until that's used up. Then you're back to getting the bogstandard EXP values. So it could be a combination of all 3 expiring.

I'm guessing Lich must of had "preferred" status much like Siren used to and you were getting a "Road to 60" buff. Once a world becomes populated enough, it loses that status, but you keep the buff for up to 90 days.

Same thing happened to me. I was raising levels left and right then suddenly - road to 60 buff poofed.

I have hit the subscribed 90 days mark and think this must be why the experience boost has gone from what a few of you guys say. It will certainly take some time now. Thanks for the replies. I could find nothing about this being time limited and would still have been wondering without your help.

There is a thing called "Rest EXP" and you usually accumulate it in sanctuaries(city states, settlements with aetherytes, housing areas, and specific zones that serve hubs for end game players which usually are Tomestone shop zones). That was probably it because Rested EXP is like +200% once you've accumulated enough of it especially if you have played for a long time or just had a specific job/class at level cap and decided to level another class.
