I do agree on that and as HyoMin said earlier people do still wipe on the content. My guess to your original question is that it was an issue LoTA has the most amounts of synced BS I've ever seen in a dungeon. The high volumes of splash damage the skeleton adds do in the first boss, the fumbling around for aggro in the second boss after being given the debuff, trying to kill the giants in time before the swings of the swords break the boulders before Behemoth wrecks you, and of course getting enough damage in before a bigger number of people mess up the pads mech in the final boss. It was meant to allow people to plow through (IMO the most player focused entire dungeon of the three) as it would be a soul crushing trek for people now. Also keep in mind it's the first of the three so that would give a horrible impression of what's yet to come for new players.
It's the first content with this many people in it (some not even recognizing what their skills even do) so i'd give it a pass. Though personally I would much rather have CT and LotA switched in terms of what you do first as I really feel CT is much easier out of the two if they were at the same level.

Have to stay as they are? I think this is the first time the msg brings it up other then a landmark on a map. Also they said doing this quest line is a good idea but NEVER MANDATORY. Its like how you don't have to play beast tribes but you miss some of the culture of race/tribe. Theres also stuff/info missed out on if you don't do all the job quests. At this current point the Crystal Tower raids (now being main story related) have to stay as they are. Back when the content was current you would see stories of wiping constantly in CT being current at the time. With the current IL sync it makes the content a breeze to go through but also will allow new players to experience the story without being gated into that early horror.
Thankfully due to XIV being so customizable you can put up a PF listing for people who want to take on Crystal Tower synced to min il and run it like that.
Have you ever put up a party finder for min ilv? I have and there so slow. You queue up for a roulette and it most likely to pop in a reasonable time frame. Party finders like the one you suggest making take way longer to form and take up valuable playing time.
I agree, I've posted about this in another thread, it's because there is no ilv cap.
Every piece of content needs to have a minimum ilv and max ilv cap so that in the future re-doing them doesn't feel too easy and a complete joke. It's also to keep the new player experience intact as most new players or returning players won't ever to get experience what the real fight was suppose to be like.
Even in the SB some of the content allows players to be 80-120 ilv over the entry requirement, while these content still feel somewhat challenging as not everyone has the max ilv400 gear these content won't feel like that in the next expansion when everyone gets sync'd down to the max for every piece of content for SB.
There is a ilvl cap. If there wouldn't be one that stuff would be solo content...I agree, I've posted about this in another thread, it's because there is no ilv cap.

No it's lv capped there is no ilv cap, your gear gets sync'd down but there is no ilv cap.
Content that has the ilv cap has the sync'd icon when you join through duty finder. It also shows what the min ilv requirement is and what the max ilv that you can have is.
Crystal Tower does not have this icon.
--------------------------------------------------------------
The entry requirement for Crystal Tower is also ilv 55 so the cap should be around ilv 100 to make sure the fight is still fun and enjoyable as it was originally intended and designed to be.

All this stuff is capped to max ilvl of ARR and thats 130. SE just had to nerf the crap out of it so that people can do it fast enough and ignore mechanics. No it's lv capped there is no ilv cap, your gear gets sync'd down but there is no ilv cap.

If it was like that people wouldn't do it. It's a hard thing to balance (old content )
Party Finder. Literally every single player can experience 2.0 content as it was intended sans cross skill removal for jobs and former meta for skills being obsolete. Party Finder>Blind run>Min. ilevel and slap on some old gear for full effect. It's just like Day 1 (probably).Every piece of content needs to have a minimum ilv and max ilv cap so that in the future re-doing them doesn't feel too easy and a complete joke.
