My PC acts like CTRL is held down after I log into my character.

Hi all,

This started happening suddenly while playing last night. When I log into my character, after about a minute, my PC will suddenly act like CTRL is held down. This messes up all my hotkeys and basically renders the game unplayable. This continues even after I close the game, and I have to restart my PC to revert it. This ONLY happens after logging into my FFXIV character.

It's worth noting that I changed my hotkey layout earlier this week, but I had not changed them before I started having this odd issue. This has happened every time I've launched the game since the first incident both today and last night.

I've submitted a support ticket, but in the meantime any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

When did this start happening? So you recall anything changing/updating on your PC that coincides with this?

What kind of keyboard do you have? Does it have it's own set of drivers?

Can you try rebinding the keys again? If you leave the CTRL button without a keybind, does the problem persist after you close the game?
